This is the first year this beer has been distributed to Portland. I had it a few years ago and it blew me away, and still does today. Easily one of my very favorite beers of all time. Drink it and love it, if you can find it.

Are there many craft brews down in NM? How was the Elevated IPA?

There are something like 9 breweries that I know of. The Elevated IPA was fucking delicious, but my favorite local is probably the Marble IPA at the top of this page.

I think this is the first winter beer I have had this year. Time to get caught up! EDIT: I DO NOT RECOMMEND CONSUMING A FULL 6PACK OF ELYSIAN BIFROST IN ONE NIGHT....

I haven't seen any Sleigher on the shelves yet. It might be my favorite winter beer. This is a pretty good seasonal from Big Sky. I have heard some people say they don't dig Scotch Ale. The only kind I have tried is Montana brewed and it is pretty good. Cold Smoke is the other local Scotch Ale that is very good.

Lewis and Clark makes one good beer and its their Tartanic Scottish Ale. Really good. Also Blackfoot has a delicious Scottish, because Blackfoot has a delicious everything. Hashtag best brewery. It's the one thing I miss so much about Helena.

I went to a store that I know usually carries Elysian hoping to see some of that pumpkin stout that Rustuu posted above. The only Elysian seasonal I saw was this one though. I guess I missed that one. I was surprised by how light amber it poured. Not at all disappointing overall, might fall in my top 5 winter warmers, probably closer to 5.

Tonight Stone Brewing is doing a brewers night in BHAM @ Pizza Pipeline. I need to have a beer after this week...maybe a couple.

At that Stone Brewers night I had an OAKED Bastard and 2013 Double Bastard. I am not a fan of regular ol’ Arrogant Bastard but I did like those two. Getting the pre-func on right now. The guy at Elizabeth Station told me that this Stillwater beer is an American Adjunct Lager (Ex. Bud) but brewed with saison yeast. It didn’t really sound appealing to me as I am not a fan of saison style beers but I was ultra curious so I picked it up. Attachments:

I got super lucky. A buddy was on the northern tip of the Island for work and the liquor store had 5. He tried to buy all 5 but they wouldn't let him. He had to beg them to let him buy two. He then tried going back the next day but they were wise to him.
I hope they do a wider release next year, they were impossible to find around Vancouver.
