Hopworks is one of my favorite breweries in Portland. Their beer is always good, and their food is always great. Their happy hour prices on food are really reasonable too!

A collaboration beer from Redhook/Hilliards is on tap at Copper Hog in Bellingham right now. It is called Joint Effort and it is a Hemp Ale. It tastes like a hoppy northwest red ale to me. Pretty decent. The best part is the tap handle though. Attachments:

My wife and I went on a Kulshan Beer Cruise in Bellingham on Wednesday. We didn’t really know what to expect but it cost $35 and it was unlimited Kulshan beer. You also got one hot dog. The cruise was in Bellingham Bay and was from 6-8. We Dr. Garbanzoured at $5 per beer we could drink our tickets with 7 beers a piece. 7 beers in 2 hours? I thought it was a challenge I would destroy. I only got 5 beers in though (4 IPA and 1 Wheat). At least we tried!

Mmm the return of winter warmers. I can't wait to curl up in an oversized sweatshirt and get completely sloshed to that shit in the coming months.

Juble is back and it tastes of apples, like it does, and I love it. And now that it is not freaking 80 degrees out I can drink it.

This week Bellingham Beer Week is going on. I have been out of town and unable to attend any events but luckily I picked up this bad boy in the store. Fremont Brewing made a vanilla coffee porter for the festivities. They used a local coffee company (Tony’s) and the beer is very tasty. Attachments:

I will be at the Anacortes Octoberfest this weekend. Should be a good time. It is one of my favorite beer festivals in WA. Smaller crowd. Cool setting. Fun place to kick it after the festival ends. If anybody is in that neck of the woods let me know. Also:

I think more should join in on the beer/LP combo shots. I like seeing what everyone is drinking and album art is always fun to look at. Well, most of the time. Here is pre-celebration of taking back the Cascadia Cup tonight (god damn I hope I don’t jinx that).

I would give you the finest of Vancouver's craft brews for that blunder.

I like this series from Full Sail. This Imperial Lager is pretty heavy though. 8% feels a little more like 12%.
