Here are my plans for the night. I thought I'd switch it up and try some beers brewed with interesting additions: thistle and cherries (although I am still not sure if they actually use thistle in the Belhaven one). I'll let you know how these are once I try them. Cheers.

For a minute I thought you had painted the wall of your kitchen to look like that WKD album.
Respect for buying vinyl, though. And I dig the name change.

Nice name change, Switch! I am very curious to hear about the Rogue one. I am not a big fan of flavored beer but I do enjoy their juniper ale sometimes. I usually really like Rogue.
When are you moving here? You will have to come over for beer and game night.

Usually I'm not all that big on flavored beer too, but this Pumphouse Blueberry Ale has momentarily stolen my heart. I've tried the Juniper Ale before and that was pretty delicious too.

There is an Elysian near Quest? I was only aware of the one on Pike. This will revolutionize my Seattle sports trips! I hit their South Broadway location at least once a year, and during my most memorable trip I tried a couple of their pumpkin beers. I'm with Pea on this one, it was like drinking the most delicious pumpkin pie ever made! Every fall I try other pumpkin beers hoping to find one half as good and so far I have been unsuccessful. I was actually in Seattle just this weekend. Upon returning to Van I went out for a friend's birthday and the bar we were at had Elysian The Immortal IPA on tap. Those of you who know Vancouver know that this is rare. I had a pint. It was delicious.
I'm also a big fan of winter warmers. There are some great ones in the northwest for sure. My girlfriend and I try to pick up at least one six pack of Jubelale every year during the holidays. I've seen Brrr around, but like many of you I haven't ever been a huge fan of the Widmer Brothers products so I haven't given Brrr a try. In Vancouver the variety of winter ales is not as diverse, but there are some gooduns. Granville Island makes by far the most popular around, and it's pretty good but nothing too exciting. Howe Sound had a great winter seasonal this year, and even Red Racer put a decent one in cans!
Also, for all you Young's fans, if you're ever in BC and come across Phillips Longboat Double Chocolate Porter you've got to try it. It more closely resembles a milkshake than a beer. I think I've mentioned this on here before.

Man how cool would that be if my kitchen was painted like that. Yeah, I recently started buying vinyl. There is just something so relaxing and rewarding about listening to vinyl. The whole process of pulling out an album and putting the needle to the grooves. It can't be beat.

I just tried Phillip's Hop Circle IPA and love love loooooved it. I wanna try more of their beers.
Anyway, wolfy my friend, Elysian has a restaurant/bar RIGHT next to the northwest entrance of Qwest Field. I mean, RIGHT next to it. They have all of their beers on tap as well as anywhere between 6-10 others at any given time. On top of that their food is phenomenal and it's the absolute best watering hole for beer lovers before a match. Unless it's a game night, however, they usually close their doors after lunch time since the whole Sodo district is pretty much a ghost town during the evening.
I really want to do some good drinking up in Vancouver next time I visit. I had an absolute blast at the few bars I checked out when I was up there a couple weeks ago but Empty promises of even better places with some great craft beer selections so I'm totally amped for another go at it.
EDIT: Jesus Christ the forum is moving fast tonight. This was all directed at you wolfhat.

So I tried the first one, the Thistle IPA. First taste is very floral with just a hint of hoppy flavor (not sure why it's called an IPA), it finishes with a sweet honey after tone. My immediate thought is 'not bad'. Then the aftertaste lingers and its starts to taste like you are sucking on a honey cough drop. It is drinkable and is a unique try but I will not buy it again, nor do I recommend it.
