Is Elysian a big deal in Washington? I've had some of their beers, but I've recently just put on my big boy pants and moved from drinking primarily PBR to drinking primarily IPA's. Is there anything from Washington that might get pushed out to Montana that's worth trying? Our stuff here is fine, but I wouldn't want to miss out on something that is still a treat despite not being on tap.

Elysian used to be a staple, but their reputation's gone a bit downhill ever since they sold themselves to Anheuser-Busch, and Dick Cantwell's subsequent departure.

I don't think we are getting Bells. Snag an extra hop slam if not too inconvenient please Will do. I'm planning on grabbing a couple sixers if I can. I'll save one for you. Although I don't think I'll be in Seattle until June. Oh sweet Jesus. Can I get in on a Hop Slam? It's only the #1 beer you've talked about to me over the years. Fun fact, one of the last two times we've hung out, we drank a Hopslam. Badchoices can attest.

Haha indeed we did. I was actually on Untapped earlier and looked up Hopslam, and to my surprise I had already rated it. I totally forgot that we drank it in the hotel, but then again we had already thrown a few back at the bar before that. Anyway, thanks! Let's do another beer trade this summer. That day was a blast.

I'm still kicking myself for leaving while we were at Elysian, but I suddenly felt extremely too drunk to be sitting there with your family haha.

My second thought, "We went to Elysian?"

Had a couple of brews from this Moses Lake brewery and thought they were pretty tasty. It is also a bowling alley! Would love to check this out if I have time before or after Sasquatch for a little excursion. tenpinbrewing.com/

Have always been turned off because it looks like more of an overpriced restaurant than a brewery. I usually stick to Wander/Structures/Gruff in bham

Have always been turned off because it looks like more of an overpriced restaurant than a brewery. I usually stick to Wander/Structures/Gruff in bham Aslan was opened by a pretty young guy that clearly had a lot of money. In the beginning they were ripped by the Herald about their beer quality. I didn't have the same take as the Herald did but they were pretty inconsistent. They didn't really have much brewing experience when they started. BUT they had a great culture/atmosphere. The food is really good and the place is pretty cool. You can have dogs outside too (which is always a plus). They have since hired a brewer and their beer quality is really good in my opinion. I am not a fan of the beers that they can but I always find something I like when I go there. They are always putting on beers that are new too. Keeping you on your toes and always new things to try. I like them a lot. Not my go to place because it is a restaurant. When the weather is nice I go there more often because you can just sit outside and have a beer. I pretty much like all of the breweries in Bellingham. I haven't really had a great Gruff experience though. I like their outside portion it is like the only water view downtown haha.
