Sasquatch 2011 Launch Party Thread

Hey Folks,

This may not deserve its own thread just yet, however when the time comes around it may be a pretty heavily viewed thread.

Travis Hay at Guerilla Candy (formerly Ear Candy, that has seemingly gone the way of the Wookie Stage), leaked the Sasquatch Launch Party info a couple days back :

The lineup for the tenth annual Sasquatch! Music Festival is expected to be announced Feb. 5 during the Sasquatch! launch party at the Crocodile.

Live Nation has yet to officially announce plans for the launch party and previously announced the lineup for Sasquatch! will be revealed Feb. 7. Guerrilla Candy was tipped off about the party by an email from an unconfirmed source Sunday night.

I did not see it posted anywhere yet, and wanted to inform everybody of it...

Is anyone going to be there? Perhaps provide a live feed?

I found it pretty funny that the two main performers at last year's launch party didn't end up on the festival lineup.

I don't get why it was funny. I thought the point was they were performing the launch party because they wouldn't be able to perform at Sasquatch. Both of those acts were at Primavera if I'm not mistaken and then both played Bumbershoot. It's not like they weren't big enough names to play Sasquatch.

I was going to quote my post from last year in which I said Atlas Sound and Surfer Blood wouldn't be on the lineup, but Fresh Espresso would, but it must have been part of that 50 page thread that was deleted. I was going to quote it because it got my dick sucked a lot.

No, I don't think anyone here merits the title, "Asshole." And the actual "Asshole of the Year," won't be awarded anytime soon. There will be a voting period of at least a month. The winner gets the first nomination for "Asshole of the Decade."
