Errr I don't think there has been any word of a new album yet. I could be wrong? They're releasing a 2 part concept album in the form of two EPs. But yeah that's about it. Oh cool! Looking forward to that.

Blatantly stolen from pitchfork but I downloaded the new mixtape from The Weeknd and it's really good so far. I have a huge soft spot for weird r&b stuff but it's definitely worth checking out even if it's not normally something you'd listen to (it's free) you can download it here: the-weeknd.com/

I think 2010 will be remembered historically as one of the best years for music. Thus far there aren't a significant number of albums coming out this year that have me super excited. There are some albums coming out that I am looking forward to but nothing like last year. Plus Sasquatch 2010 was just mind blowing.
If Modest Mouse and The Helio Sequence put out albums this year then there is room for 2011 redemption.

2010 had High Violet and This is Happening. I mean, really, try and top that.

I've listened to all of High Violet MAYBE twice. My opinion of The National went from HOLY SHIT to Oh, That's a Band real quick after High Violet.

2010 had High Violet and This is Happening. I mean, really, try and top that. Two of the best albums in probably the last ten years (This is Happening is probably the best IMO). Add in The MBDTF, Sir Luscious Left Foot, The Suburbs, Forgiveness Rock Record...... Yeah 2010 was a pretty awesome year

I actually agree with gramma on this one. When boxer came out a few years ago I was completely obsessed with them but High Violet really doesn't do a whole lot for me. Some really good songs but overall I just don't think it's on the same level as Boxer and Alligator.

I really liked The Boxer and Alligator, but I thought High Violet just took them to another level. Fantastic album.
I was pretty surprised at how great they were live too. I was expecting a pretty chill show but they totally brought it.

It's really, really good eh. I don't know if I would put it higher than You Forgot It In People, but it's very close.
Seeing them play Meet Me In The Basement live was just about my favoritest thing ever.

If there are new Portishead and Avalanches albums this year, it'll be a good year.

No free stream that I can find, I believe they're pirating it

I can't find it anywhere, and I'm usually pretty good at finding the pirate's booty.
