I streamed the new R.E.M album yesterday --- I really enjoyed it!
Regarding Sasquatch Bands with new albums coming out: the J Mascis, Rival Schools and Noah and Whale albums all have been recently leaked.

If anyone's into hip hop, Lupe Fiasco's new album hit the internet the other day. It's pretty freaking awesome. He's definitely taken a huge step forward.
The new album definitely sounds more "mainstream" than his earlier stuff.
And to give it a Sasquatch connection, the first single "Show goes on" samples Modest Mouse. So there you go.

Don't think anybody posted about this yet, but Panda Bear moved the Tomboy release date from April 19th to April 12th so that it would be available on record store day. (April 16th) God I hope there's some ridiculous special edition. I will be going to seattle so early in the morning if that is the case.

Fucked Up have announced that their new album David Comes to Life will be out on June 7. Given the quality of The Chemistry of Common Life this new album should kick some serious ass.
Even if it doesn't, the accompanying tour sure will. One of the most insane live shows I've ever seen. Nakedness, hugging, screaming, sweat and a few bottles of Dr. Pepper for good measure...all in the middle of a public square in downtown Calgary during rush hour!

I second the one of the most insane live shows bit. (Especially insane since as I stated before this also involved moshing with Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning.) Pink Eyes even gave everyone a big ol' hug after the show. 'Twas adorable.

Adorable is one way to put it. For a someone as scary looking and intimidating as Pink Eyes is, he is a super friendly guy; and as nasty as it is being bear hugged by a hulking sweaty (hairy) man, it is a nice gesture indeed.

The new Strokes album "Angles" is streaming on their website right now. Half way through it and I'm really enjoying it. Just got me more pumped to see their set at Coachella.

For those of you that still purchase your music, The Naked and Famous finally released their debut album in the states. Even Best Buy has it so it shouldn't be hard to find.

Chili Peppers have been in the studio for a while now. New album should hopefully be out this year.
Rise Against's new album is good, but it sounds just like their last 3 albums.
The Subways have a new one coming out really soon. I loved Young for Eternity, but I hated All or Nothing.
Black Joe Lewis' new album is great. I can't wait to see him at Coachella.
Not a huge fan of Lupe Fiasco's new album. It's been commercialized all to hell, but it's still better than 90% of the popular stuff out there.
Can't wait for the new Atmosphere in April.
