Talked to my friend who said he might be one of only about 4 people who didn't like the Muppets movie. His biggest complaint: "Too many humans, not enough muppets."

I laughed, I cried, I hurled. Ok, maybe not that last one. It was perfect and amazing. I was so happy they did Rainbow Connection. Also, Switch went with us and that was great.

I just saw Take Shelter. I think Michael Shannon and Elizabeth Olsen are gonna be pretty tough to beat for best actor/actress. Still looking forward to the The Artist, The Skin I Live In, A Dangerous Method , We Need To Talk About Kevin, Knuckle, Tin Tin, We Bought a Zoo, Pina, and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
So much monies.
Anything else coming out next month?

Girl With the Dragon Tattoo!!!! Holy shit I'm excited. Loved the books and the trailer looks amazing. Plus, David Fincher and Trent Reznor again.
EDIT: Oh and I just saw the trailer for "Like Crazy". Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. I was in tears and it was just the freaking trailer. I don't think I can see that one.

I just finished watch Blur's No Distance Left to Run and it was unbelievably good. It was a lot more modest and emotionally driven than I was expecting it to be. The best part in the entire film though was the final bit where they did an incredibly moving version of "Tender" at Glastonbury. Beautiful stuff.

Saw The Descendants last night and it was alright. Some really funny scenes and George Clooney playing "George Clooney", which is always pretty sweet. Mostly just made me want to go back to Hawaii.

We watched Die Hard, Brick, and Our Idiot Brother yesterday.
Somehow neither HG nor I had seen Die Hard. It was really awesome. Bruce Willis is such a badass and he didn't even have shoes. Bonus, it was seasonal!
Brick was also really good. Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a fantastic job. I want to watch him in more things.
Our Idiot Brother was entertaining. The think about that movie is that I totally thought that the Elizabeth Banks character was Parker Posey for more than half the movie. But there was something just slightly off so I looked it up and it was not Parker Posey at all. So what I don't get is why they made her character exactly like something Parker Posey would play. And that hair, man. That is Parker Posey hair. HG didn't realize it, either.
Oh, I guess we watched Walk Hard on Saturday night. My review for that will always be the same. It is hilarious and wonderful and if you don't like it then you are wrong. It was the first time I had seen the director's cut, there is almost half an hour of extra footage. So that was fun.

Watch Mysterious Skin. It is kind of a hard watch, but it is Oh So Good, and JGL is amazing as always. Everytime I use shampoo I think about this movie. This movie has ruined shampoo for me. Definitely a good Araki flick though, well "good" is a weird way of putting it, like JWW said, it tackles some heavy subject matter.
