Watching Litttle Big Foot with HG. And the best news is that there is a sequel.

I unfortunately watched "Faster" last night. Did you know that "Bloodbuzz Ohio" is in the movie?

It's just an instrumental version (actually I thinks it's looped), but it's also just in there just the same.

Have my posts not added up to the logical conclusion of me loving high octane male-insecurity-infused action flicks starring pro wrestlers?

Just saw The Illusionist - what a sad, sad movie. And great.
Did anyone else do the Oscar Pool?

I feel pretty confident about my Oscar predictions (sent you a PM, stamper). As usual they hinge on the Academy favoring one film over another across the board, but I've seen more than enough Oscar ceremonies to know that's how it works.
Oscar Night is my favorite night of the year. It's the one year I take the initiative to throw a party and invite people to my house -- even if every single one of my friends bailed on me this year (going so far as to ask me to TiVo it and watch it Monday night. AS. IF.). Regardless, Steph is making Oscar Chili and I'm going to drink beer and yell at the screen and enjoy the hell out of it. So beh.

The emotional punchline of that film just completely knocked my legs out from under me and crumpled me up into a little ball of tears. So great. Toy Story 3 did the same thing, honestly, but not with the effortlessness and delicacy that The Illusionist did.

Yeah, my girlfriend was quiet after the movie, and eventually she said, "That was a sneaky movie."

I also just watched Catfish the other day - did anyone else see this? It's a documentary, supposedly, but it seems so scripted I can barely believe it's actually a documentary. It's about a guy who starts an online affair with a hot girl, and finds out later she might not be who she claims to be. Don't want to spoil it. It was fun to watch though.

This might be a really rare year where King's Speech wins best picture but Social Network wins best director.

There is controversy around it's legitimacy. I heard there was a article that the filmmakers admitted it was fake, but I haven't seen it. IMO I think the story is completely true, but they had to re-shoot a bunch of the scenes in the beginning and middle (ie. the scene where she sends them songs) because they wouldnt make sense/ give the ending enough of an emotional impact. The reactions may be fake, but the situations are real. There is no way anyone could ever right a character like Angela Wesselman. She may the most "real" human being on film ever.
