I just watched it on a plane over the weekend and I really enjoyed it! I thought it was charming. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days set the bar pretty high for me for romantic comedies. Plus I got really uncomfortable watching naked Timberlake doing tongue tricks....uhhh down there.

Now you know why my posts are generally so short and uninformatve. Foruming on phones is weak. That's one of the main reasons I post so little, 'cause I mostly read the board on my phone. Or on my ipad which is just as awkward to try and type from.

i'm just glad Garry Marshall is cashing in on the success of Valentine's Day with an even better date night! New Years Eve!
Please, oh please, that one attractive yet sensitive person end up with that other attractive yet sensitive person before the apple drops! *crosses fingers*

Sidenote. ipads ARE the most awkward invention on earth. My roommate is obsessed with his but the few times I've messed around on it I just want to get on my laptop instead.

It's so much harder to type on an ipad than text from my phone 'cause of how you're forced to hunt and peck but in a weird one handed style. The only good part about how hard it is to type on an ipad is that I constantly tell my co-workers I couldn't reply to my emails because it takes to long to type it out.

Foruming on phones is weak. It is the worst. I can't wait to have my computer back. On another note I watched Fantastic Mr. Fox once again the other day. Anyone else love that movie to death?

A friend of mine bought an Ipad recently, and I swore it lowered his IQ by 60 points. His nearly flawless emails turned into a random collection of letters which often didn't include punctuation or spacing. It was like reading the typings of a five year old with no backspace button.

I forgot to mention that I saw Beats, Rhymes, and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest a few weeks ago. It was a great watch and I'm glad I caught it in a theatre with some boomin' sound.
What I really liked about it is that 90% of the interviews and sound bites come from the group members.

It was supposed to be at one of the small independent theatres in town but they closed the week before the movie came out. I'm pissed. Does the director (Michael Rappaport?) put himself in the movie a lot? I was kind of worried about that, I find him pretty annoying.

Ever see that movie Michael Rapaport cowrote with Ethan Coen? It was pretty dumb but still pretty fun. The Naked Man, it was called.
But yeah other than that the guy is intolerable. I was pretty jazzed on seeing that documentary but I had to laugh when I saw who made it.

Oh man, oh man... I just watched The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear, Hot Shots, and Brain Donors. They almost sent me to the hospital. So very incredibly funny. My stomach aches right now. I've seen all of these movis a million times but it's been probably 2 years since I've watched any of them.
Anyone else a fan of slapstick comedy? I know it has a bad rap as cheap comedy, but personally I think it is a true comedic art form that is pretty hard to pull off without looking totally lame (which many of them are very horribly lame). Out of the above three my favorite is The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear. Leslie Nielson is a master in that movie.
Ohhhhhh, my sides hurt...

I've never heard of two of those, but I do love slapstick. Airplane was probably the first movie I saw ten times. You know what you're getting when you watch slapstick.

I guess I can't say that I'm outing myself as a dork anymore when I'm already out, proud and waving my dork flag high all over this message board can I? Whatevs, here's a different level of my dorkdom. One time my boyfriend and I were driving back to the kootenays for Christmas in the worst car you can ever imagine. This is a trip that should take about ten hours, ferry included. Our car could not go up hills, which added an extra six hours to the trip, including the three times rob took the carburetor apart at rest stops. The only thing that saved us and our relationship was that we were listening to the hunger games trilogy on my iPod. I doubt that either of us would have been as into the books (or even read them) unless we had been in our own post-apocalyptic situation. So because of that, when we watched this trailer we were barfing rainbows. www.avclub.com//articles/the-hunger-games,65073/ I am so goddamn teenage girl excited for this movie. Eh, at least it's less embarrassing than twilight.

My mom keeps telling me to read The Hunger Games.
The only time I've ever listened to a book on tape a semi truck next to me clipped an elk and sent it airborne straight into my car. The poor thing. The semi driver had a hunting knife on him and was going to kill the the elk if it wasn't already dead, to put it out of it's misery or possibly just to be a scary dead of the night truck driver. Luckily for all of us the elk was dead already. My car was left fucked in the middle lane of the coquihalla highway. It was very traumatic altogether. Plus I can't fix a tire, nevermind a carburetor.

Goddamn it Friendly D, way to own me on "listening to books-on-tape whilst on a Canadian highway" stories.

Goddamn it Friendly D, way to own me on "listening to books-on-tape whilst on a Canadian highway" stories. There is nothing to be jealous of. We had to sleep in a Kal-Tire parking lot that night. Plus you would be amazed at how much a tow truck can actually cost. The answer is a trillion dollars. Although, the trip did end with us seeing The Drive-By Truckers two nights in a row in Seattle. Things did feel like a Cormac McCarthy novel for a while there.

SPOILER ALERT: No Canadian highway story in this post
I listen to a ton of audio books, including the Hunger Games at one point. First book is very fun, last two are a bit of a bore. But the movie looks pretty good judging by the trailer.
