I watched The Human Centipede II last night and the only thing I can say is...STAY THE FUCK AWAY! I've seen some nasty movies in my time, but this one pretty much turned my stomach inside out and upside down. Wretched Garbage.

I saw the Rum Diary last night, totally Sig Chi style, as I walked into it having no clue what it was. I only was told that Johnny Depp was in it. I still have no clue what the fuck it was about. It had both funny and entertaining sections, but I still left the theater having to idea what it was actually about. Having said that, I think I liked it.
EDIT: I'm sure if I had read the book, it might have made a little bit more sense. Sadly I have never read the book.

I just skimmed through the movie and there is no possible way I could sit through that entire thing. That was pure fucking torture scat. How awful...

Watching the first one was an error in judgment that I'll regret for the rest of my life. Watching the second one is something that's basically your own damn fault. Sorry you made that mistake, black, but for damn sure I knew better. You knew I was a scorpion when you picked me up...

the best part of The Human Centipede was when what'sherface opened up the curtains to try to escape and the 'doctor' was standing there posed with his gun. I'd search out a screen-cap to illustrate this, but there's no way I'm going to google anything to do with that movie while at work.

We watched that movie Monsters today. It fucking sucked. Why? I haven't seen it. Boring. Waited the entire movie for something to happen and it never did. Didn't really see the point they were going for. There were a few wishy washy social ideas they sort of touched on but nothing that came through as the reason for this movie.

Monsters was basically District 9 with all of the tension and interesting characters removed. Worse still, in just about every minute of Monsters you could tell that the writers were trying very hard to make it feel that way.
It's like that Sam Rockwell movie Moon (although Moon was MUCH better). Moon worked pretty much because most viewers will inevitably bring expectations to it from having seen 2001: A Space Odyssey. Most of the tension there is to be found in Monsters -- what little there is -- was pilfered wholesale from District 9.

When the trailer for Part II was released I watched it at my desk while on lunch. The older lady sitting next to me caught sight of it and was horrified. I should have waited until I got home.

Yeah, it was pretty good. Nothing inspiring but well acted, and I'm head over heels for George Clooney.

I just saw Martha Marcy May Marlene, and I think it would have taken Rango's spot as my favorite movie of the year so far if it weren't for the ending. But still, really, really awesome movie. FD, you'll love it (if you haven't seen it already).

Saw Big Fan today. Highly recommend it. Patton's definitely perfect for that role.

I watched A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas today. It was pretty funny shit. I was a little skeptical after the second one. It was not quite as good as the first, but definitely better than the second. Some of the 3D scenes were pretty cool, so I recommend trying to make it in to see the 3D version

FD, you'll love it (if you haven't seen it already). i actually met the producer to Martha Marcy... a couple weeks ago. he's super excited about that film. he's really thinking it will be the lowest budget'd film ever to be nominated for best picture. we'll see.

We went to see the new Harold and Kumar movie yesterday. It was great as a H&K movie and it was great as a Christmas movie. And it is one of those extremely rare occasions where the 3D is worth the extra money you pay for it.
Best of all, it went a long way to make up for the abortion that was Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay.
