It is so damn hard for me to find someone to go see a movie with these days, but I finally convinced a friend to go to Cabin in the Woods with me tonight. So excited! That movie was confusing as fuck! Who were those guys in the lab anyway? Where was that lab? Why didn't we get to see those monsters at the end, does it mean they killed everyone or did those 2 kids save the world? Any one seen Project X yet? Now THAT is a movie! Not sure if you're trolling or not but I don't care. Get the hell out of here.

Wylde Stallions makes a few valid points.

Even though this will probably be forgotten in two pages - I thought I'd create a tentative calendar for some of the bigger movies that will come out this year.
This year is gonna be a beast in the box office... The Avengers - 5/4 Men in Black III - 5/25 Moonrise Kingdom - 5/25 (limited - probably not going to be a big movie, but I'm still excited about it) Prometheus - 6/8 Brave - 6/22 The Amazing Spiderman - 7/3 The Dark Knight Rises - 7/20 Skyfall (James Bond) - 11/9 The Hobbit - 12/14 This is 40 - 12/21 Django Unchained - 12/25

Damn, seeing them all lined up like that is VERY exciting. I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT for Prometheus. And I have the feeling that Django is finally going to win Tarantino his (long-overdue) Oscar.

Ya dude. Prometheus is going to be fucking massive. And holy shit! I didn't know Tarantino had a new flick coming out. This is excellent.

Cabin in the Woods fucking RULES! There was nothing I didn't like about this film. I can't recommend that you catch this in the theaters enough! So funny, so entertaining, so engaging, so ridiculous, so perfect. It was such a good movie. My dad of all people recommended it to me. He loves horror movies and monster movies, and he loves guessing the ends of movies, and so I think he actually wrote this script.

Don't know why, but I'm a sucker for that shit. Me too! The second one wasn't as compelling but I have a weird addiction to the Paranormal Activity movies, and other "found footage" flicks. The illusion of reality is cheap and easy, but pervasive.

You're allowed to go to a movie by yourself, you know. No one will judge you. Going to a movie alone is fun. I go to probably 4 or 5 movies a month, and probably 3 or 4 are by myself, and that's even when I was living with my girlfriend. I have hella AMC Stubs rewards too.

Wow this really is going to be a huge year. The best part is that it's not all sequels like it's been for the last couple of years.

Hmm just watched Melancholia. I feel funny inside now, especially with Super Moon occurring on Sunday.

Watched Shame with some friends. I laughed through most of it... definitely not a comedy though. I'm just a terrible person.
Watched The Whistleblower this morning. Decent but super depressing.

Saw the Avengers at the big big big IMAX theater in SF. It was good. On the super-hero-movie scale, it was a 7.5 (Dark Knight being a 10, Green Lantern being a 1), but on the larger scale it was probably a 6. Without Robert Downey Jr., none of this would work.

I'm treating myself to The Prestige and Waking Ned Devine tonight. Two of the best movies of the past 15 years for sure!
