Queen Bitch would be in my top 10 for sure, maybe even top 5.
For now I'm going to go with Strangers by The Kinks.
And no, that's not because of Wes Anderson.

But as for my favorite song, this one is always a toughie for me since I have so many favorites. But I guess I'll go with Lazarus by Porcupine Tree since it's my most listened to song according to Last.fm that's my 5th most listened to song. arguably one of my favorite songs too, absolutely gorgeous. Seriously <3

Also: 'Tusk' is an incredible song (and I FUCKING HATE Fleetwood Mac). If I didn't take myself so seriously, that'd probably be my favorite song too. I really cannot tell if you are being serious or not. I sure hope so, because that song really does it for me... ...also was unaware that you took yourself too seriously.

No joke, I love 'Tusk'. As much as I hate nearly every other Fleetwood Mac song, boy do I love 'Tusk'.
And I don't take myself THAT seriously, but I definitely take myself too seriously to say that Stevie Nicks had anything to do with my favorite song.

Yeah, I wasn't saying they were my favorite band or anything. I just really like 'Tusk'. Although I don't harbor the same level of hate for Fleetwood Mac that you do.

I've thought about it a lot, but came to the conclusion I have about 40 favorite songs. I can't think of one that stands out as my absolute favorite. It would be fun making a list of the top 40 songs, because I've listened to a lot of music in my days most would consider less than spectacular. Such as, Sponge, Nickelback, Steel Pulse, Wolfgang Press, Prince (with the NPG, not his good stuff), Jodeci, Pharacyde, Warren Zevon, Screeching Weasle, Clawfinger, Snow Patrol, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, and my boy Ice Cube.
Two songs do stick out as evoking fond memories (fired up memories) of years' past, and I doubt anyone will recognize these songs by title:
Black Happy - Yes...And It Counts Ministry - Corrosion (I can't sit still listening to this song, ever)
And since one of my favorites came from this board, I will mention I8's recommendation:
Mountain Goats - No Children

A "favorite song" is something that seems like it has the potential to change for me day by day, depending on my mood and current rotation of musical genres. I was tempted to change mine about 10 times before finally settling on Built to Spill's "Else," but I agree, I probably have 40 or so songs that easily stand up next to it and will continue to for years to come.
