Is anyone else coming out for The National at the Paramount in two weeks? The show is on Mrs Pancakes's birthday and we'll be down to hang out.

That said, I've been having some unreal luck with cheap as hell last minute stubhub tickets lately, so maybe I'll look into it.

I think they're playing two nights, but we'll be there on Wednesday the 29th. I'll message you when I know more about our timing.

Lol so the other bands for NWTF are a joke but I’ll probably buy a day ticket for Panopticon. Anyway, Laurel Halo on the 30th to tide us over, hell yea.

FlyLo, Mogwai, Laurel, Pere Ubu, Mirah, J Bar, Pixies?, G Bear, Pedro?, and a fucking Star Wars movie to round out the year.
I saw more bands in 2017 than any other year of my life with only one day of festival. Fuck the police.

I did not and then I lost my job, #oops. You think that one’s gonna sell out?

I did not and then I lost my job, #oops. You think that one’s gonna sell out? Probably. Especially with how well received the new album is. If you want me to spot you until then I can grab you a ticket here in a week or two.

It seems like they are off to a decent start. Primitive Man and SubRosa kick ass. I can't vouch for them, but I was under the assumption The Atlas Moth were decent. I'll keep my eye on this one, but I haven't been too excited about vacationing in Seattle lately.

There's just no way I'm paying out the ass for early bird like I did last year, because they way they broke down the day schedules, there was an entire day where there was nothing I wanted to see. Still staying tuned but Pittsburgh looks like it's the place to be for metal next year, so if I have to choose one or the other, I'm doing Migration again. But if I can see Panopticon twice in one year, hell yes I'm doing that.

If somebody is willing to travel, Maryland Deathfest and Psycho Las Vegas are probably the ultimate U.S. underground destination metal festivals. You'll see a lot of crossovers with these smaller festivals, but so much more. Probably where my moneys at for metal. Still haven't made Maryland Deathfest. Have to commit a little more time and money with that trek.

I don’t doubt it! But I like my little 750 person festivals. Maybe I’m getting older and pickier but I look at stuff like Psych and the tiny local fests are way more up my alley in terms of acts I actually want to see. The first iteration of Migration was basically perfect - one stage, half hour breaks, line ‘em up knock ‘em down.

Apparently Himsa is a big addition? They seem to have local cred.

Himsa is fucking rad. My band got to open for them before they broke up and it was one of the craziest crowds I've ever had the pleasure to play in front of.
