Yeah, there are a few things to do downtown if you are looking for drinking. But it won't be anything special. A beer bar with an indoor put-put course called Flatstick is right in Pioneer Square and is open until bar time. But I agree with Nick.

Don't listen to Wonk though, he believes Seattle shuts down at 10PM since he doesn't leave downtown This is how I felt last time I visited. I was really feeling like a tourist, and couldn't even find a restaurant open after a show. Just curious, where was your show and where were you staying?

We are staying in Belltown so I am hoping that there will some stuff to do! Still holding out hope for those Murder City Devils tickets. Trying everything within my power to obtain a pair. I've tried here, emailing the venue, stub hub ($90 per ticket!), Seattle classified ads. No luck.

We stayed at the Holiday Downtown. Pretty good location, but getting in and out was a pain in the ass, so as soon as I parked I made the decision to stay parked for the rest of the stay. It was a 3 day run where we went to the Showbox, Neptune, and El Corazon. Since The Neptune was a little further out of the way we didn't really try to explore that neighborhood at all. We got a taxi in just in time for the show, and caught the first one we saw after.

Neptune is the U-district so if you had more time there would have been stuff to do for sure. Showbox is a funny part of town. There is stuff open but it isn't my favorite area to go out. If you end up going back to Seattle for a trip and ever need tips DM me. I am mostly interested in beer and food when in Seattle tho

Don't listen to Wonk though, he believes Seattle shuts down at 10PM since he doesn't leave downtown Hahahahaha! Best post on the board in ages. I love it when the board defends their beloved Seattle. Virtually every reason I visit Seattle is because of events occuring downtown. Sure everyone agrees downtown sucks, but I'm not going to get a hotel on the outskirts and add multiple cab rides each day to get where I'm going, and get back. Visiting Seattle four times per year for the last decade has tought me a couple things: 1. If you want to buy snacks, water, soda, or gatorade, it must be done before 8pm (seriously. I know it sounds weird that you can't just walk into a grocery store at 8:30 pm in any city to buy whatever you would normally buy at a grocery store, but you can't do that in Seattle). 2. If you want to watch a football game other than the Seahawks, you have to go to Buffalo Wild Wings. 3.If you want to eat dinner after 10pm, you have four options. If you want to eat dinner after midnight, until recently that wasn't possible. I like Seattle much more than I used to because I can now get a pizza delivered until 3am. 4. If you're feeling a bit frisky, and want a hair of the dog cocktail prior to noon, good luck finding a place. All four of these options I take for granted living in downtown Portland. But saying the outskits of Seattle is where it's at is like me saying, "avoid downtown Portland, you need to check out Vancouver, Beaverton, and Gresham. Oregon City is aweome too, and Hillsboro rocks."

Except the "outskirts" of Seattle, as you describe them, are actually walking distance (at most a 5 minute cab ride at night) from your precious Hotel Seattle. Let's not hyPeabolize and compare those distances to fucking Vancouver and Beaverton.

That said, I am thoroughly enjoying my new city where I live downtown and all of the bars, music venues, and late night food options are walking distance

Oops sorry dude I stole your thunder for this in the Speculation thread. Pretty sweet billing to come through Montana! Figured I would get the point across here. I know Mastodon has been a token metal hopeful for a few of us over the years. I could have seen the other bands on this bill fit in as well. Pretty stoked for this show, but I've been hoping to catch Mastodon at the Gorge again, so a little disappointing, but they probably wouldn't have gotten a main stage spot at Sasquatch anyway.

Calgary sucks so much for shows right now. Yup. Only shows that I have on deck are Whitney in April and Elliott Brood in Bragg Creek next Saturday. AND...Guns n' Roses in Edmonton in August!

You'll have to shed a tear for me during November Rain.
