It is a fact that they weren't very good and it is also a fact that Coachella is a pretty good festival.

Yup, that was the one. You missed a bogus setlist with absolutely no energy whatsoever. That was a horrible set. It was so bad I left about half-way through and then refused to watch them at Sasquatch 'cause I thought that would end up being a mess too, resulting in probably missing one of my last chances to catch a good set by them. It's weird to think we were all at that same set but didn't know each other yet.

Seems like Modest Mouse is good about half the time. I think they've been like that their whole career so there is no reason to think it won't continue happening.

Oh, I'm sure they still have some good sets in 'em, I'm just not a big enough fan to seek them out unless they're playing a festival I already happen to be going to, which probably really limits my chances on catching a good set.

Anyone going or want to go to Odesza at Neumos in April?

Issac was FAR from sober at the Coachella set.
They are totally hit and miss, but I don't think his sobriety has much to do with it.

Compared to the early days, indeed, Isaac Brock is far more sober than he was pre-Good News. If you want to talk about a crapshoot for Modest Mouse shows, that was one of them.

Isaac Brock used to be completely hit or miss, agreed. One night he's widely entertaining, like when Burrito drank half a bottle of tequila in 30 minutes before Phish. The next night he'll be completely boring and lethargic, like when Pea passed out on my stairs before the Death Grps show.
They have been consistantely tight since 2010, except for that pile of moose turds at Coachella. He acted as though he ate something, when in Rome, right? I fully expect these new shows to be spot on.

I think I'm going to check out Sphongle's latest tour on Tuesday. For the most part I just want to check out Desert Dwellers. Sphongle's set was pretty boring last time I saw him.

And how the fuck is NIN still not playing Sasquatch with these dates. I predict a possible late add.

Holy fuck. NIN and Death Grips?! And Soundgarden? Jesus, that's a hell of a tour. Too bad no NW dates, though.

If NIN isn't added to Sasquatch by the time tickets go on sale I think I'm getting Red Rocks tickets. I've always wanted to see a show at Red Rocks, and this would be the one to see for sure.
