The Quick and Easy Boys are playing Seattle Thursday the 26th at the Nectar Lounge, and Saturday the 28th in Bellingham at Wild Buffalo. There are guitar gods who are a 10, like Joe Satriani, Buckethead, Stevie Vai, and maybe Ymgwie Malmsteen, but every other guitar player from your favorite band is a 7 at best. The guitar player for the Quick and Easy Boys is about an 8 or 9.
They are a party live. They play cover songs you love, and usually they get really wasted on stage. The bass player and drummer are great musicians as well. If you have nothing better to do, and you live near these venues, go stare at one of the greatest guitar players you'll see, and the cover charge will be less than $10.

We are hosting parties on both of those days, otherwise you know I'd be there.

Tom Waits is playing the Bridge School Benefit this year. Les Claypool is playing bass in his backing band.
I hate.

I'm probably going to be up there on Saturday for the Cyril Hahn/Ryan Hemsworth show! I just found out I won tickets (no idea how this continues to happen) so I think my lady and I might be heading up.

Are you seattlans hitting up any decibel shows? I was drooling over a couple today and wishing I was coming down tomorrow instead. I am having a cow right now because apparently Nicolas Jaar is playing tonight in Seattle for Decibel and I didn't know and it is $40 for a ticket.

If this wasn't on a Tuesday I would seriously consider it. I've seen most of these bands out the wahzoo this year but I'm still kicking myself about not seeing Tame Impala. www.deckthehallball.com/

That's a really solid lineup but I'm not sure I want to pay 50+ to see 20 minute sets from those bands...
