Bummer indeed. Hopefully you'll be able to get them when they go on sale for real! And then we will have a beer before the show. It is known.

Yea I fucked myself out of the presale. Couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger and then it was too late. I might just try for the Portland regular sale on Friday since it's almost $30 cheaper than Seattle. God damnit Trent.

So Nick and I both received random free passes to some Absolut sponsored "visual/audio art experience" thing next Thursday, with freaking Grimes being the main performer. WAT? Nice.

*I didn't make this post, but a free Grimes show sounds good to me.

The Paramount. The initial email came from a Capitol Hill Block Party representative, so I'm guessing I was on some mailing list of theirs. Unfortunately I have no idea how anyone else would go about getting the invite.

I got one too! it's a masquerade ball and they want everyone to "dress to impress" / reserve the right to refuse your entry if you're not dressed "fashionably". So, the takeaway there is ...don't wear your dick shirt.

I hate how vague that dress code is. Fasionable for me is jeans without holes and a button-up plaid shirt.

Sled Island night one was great! Highlights were Victories: A female two piece where the drummer played the drums, keyboard and sang at the same time. They also sang about masturbating a lot. Good times. Also, Chains of Love were excellent. The female singer played the ever living fuck out of the tambourine. It was awesome.
Tonight I'm looking at checking out: Unkown Mortal Orchestra, Swans (not really my thing....but I think I'm going to have to check out at least a bit of it), Colin Stetson, Iceberg Ferg and who knows what else! Sled Island!

Fucking rights! Beginning my Sled Island voyage at Palomino with Saskatchewan heavy rockers Black Thunder before heading to Dickens to have my fucking face melted by SWANS! Then, possibly, off to The Legion for Iceage.
