They were quite good! The crowd didn't really get moving until "Destroy Everything You Touch" during the encore, though. And they didn't play "Playgirl."

This work week has been long, frustrating and brutal. Tonight will be the perfect medicine.

Ahh shit, they're playing Seattle 2/4 and it sold out LITERALLY hours before I made it to the box office, I was sooo sad. I was planning on biting the bullet and craigslisting it but Portland might actually end up being cheaper. Do you know what day of the week?

Looks like it's a Tuesday. The Tuesday following the Built to Spill show, as it happens. Take a week off?

Veeery Tempting! But school will probably fuck me over on this one, yet again. Don't make the same mistake I did, get them tickets quick! It only took about a week to sell out the Showbox which is a pretty big venue.

It's been sixteen fucking years since the last time I saw Ben Folds Five. I have extremely fond memories of that shit. Ben's all, like, grandpa librarian now. I feel trepidation. But I still wanna go.

"So, I live in Eugene and was planning on driving all the way up to Seattle for a Ben Folds concert on February 4th, 2013. Now there's a concert happening on the 5th in Portland, because Ben thinks it's funny to do these sorts of things to me. So anyway, being a person who does not enjoy driving 6 hours on a Monday, I'd like to offer my 2 general admission tickets to the Seattle Showbox show on February 4. The face value is 39.50 and there's an 11.50 service charge for each, which honestly, I would like to make back. NOT out to make money, just not end up bleeding cash. Tickets are a transferable PDF, so this should be the easiest transaction in the world." Is this sketchy? I'm totally nervous about the PDF thing, and I guess I would have to send him money via paypall or a check in the mail... I like to think Ben Folds fan are pretty trustworthy and cool. And his explanation for wanting to sell the tickets/offering them for face value seems legit but I dunno.....

Holla atcha boy fig if you know anybody selling one for face or at least close. I may or may not have grabbed an extra two for Built to Spill. OK I finally got this year's tickets, 9th year attending. what did I miss, any good inside news on bands that will be there? Really hoping for Built to Spill, Alt-J and at least 1 crazy ass DJ set!!! I have a very strong feeling (slash hope) that Built to Spill will be there this year. I've got no basis for this, except that they're releasing a new album soon and their February tour has lots of PNW venues but nothing in Seattle. [glow=red,2,300]Maybe Fig will ask them about Sasquatch at the Portland show, since he Martsched with them at Occupy Boise and shit.[/glow]

I would be skeptical about tickets that aren't physical, but I think when you make transactions via paypal there is some kind of guarantee with the money. I am not positive about this, but I think that is what I heard.

This is the email that triggered the email notification sound on my phone that woke me up forty-five minutes early today. In case you were wondering, they're not coming any further west than fucking Boise. So, uhh, who wants to go to Boise?

Pitchfork released the news and included a list of scheduled tour dates. They show the dates with Dan Deacon through March and then there is a huge gap until two european dates in July. I know gabfrab got an email and there was that other fest in England or wherever, but why was it not listed?

I figured it out. It's because Pitchfork sucks.

Are there any dates for that tour released yet? I've been keeping an eye out since that Missoula promoter was hinting about a possible Missoula show.
Edit: That same promoter also posted today that there would be some big announcements this week.

Me and Burrito can make a detour to come get you and Storms. Maybe we can stay with GIBBONS and slay dragons if Fig comes with. EDIT: I don't see Boise on that list but maybe I'm blind. Do you know the date?
