If there was ever one guy I wouldn't want to get in a turf war with it would be, well it would be Davers because he's straight up contemplated killing a Park Ranger as option #1. But if there was ever a second guy I wouldn't want to get into a turf war with it would be Wonk. He is supremely awesome and no mortal stands a chance.

Ah dude I totally forgot that daver(s) story! I loved how the biggest problem was how they were going to hide the body.

The hell? $50 + fees for a Gotye ticket? That's kinda bullshit. I mean, I'm not going, but I still think that's kinda bullshit forcing people to pay that much for fucking Gotye.

Instead of buying groceries yesterday (whatevs, my work feeds me and I'm going away in a week), I bought all my tickets for the summer.
June 12th - Here We Go Magic (in San Francisco!) July 7th - Japandroids July 20th - Florence & the Machine (if I can get a cheap ticket outside, otherwise me and my buddy will just enjoy some edibles in the park and listen from afar) July 25th - Phantogram Aug 8th - Franz Ferdinand Aug 11th - Twin Shadow Aug 24th -26th - Live at Squamish! (thanks to that free ticket tip from Fox) Aug 29th - Yeasayer Aug 31st - Gotye (again, only if I can get a cheap one out front) Sept 1st - Amon Tobin (in Seattle) Sept 1st - 3rd - Bumbershoot Sept 7th - Girl Talk Sept 15th - Hot Chip
I think this summer is shaping up nicely.

Two reasons: it's my birthday on the 12th and the one year anniversary of my grandma's death on the 13th.
She took me to San Francisco for my 16th birthday because it's one of her favourite cities in the world and that was one of the last trips I did with her. So, as a celebration of life type thing, we're going to spread her ashes all over the city. On the 13th, I think we'll take one of those trolley tours and at every stop just sprinkle a bit of her around. My mom put some of her in a spice jar.
You're in the San Francisco area right Drew? It would be great to grab a drink if possible.

Thanks Souly.
By the end though, it was one of those situations where it was a blessing when she passed. But it's been a mixed bag dealing with the grieving process as my relationship with my Bub, and my mom's relationship too, were very complicated. Especially at the end of her life because she had severe dementia which lead to her selling the house we all lived in together without her telling us, and there was nothing that could be done to stop it. And that also has left us with a giant legal battle we've been in for a year now because one of her friends took advantage of her altered mind and had her put everything into a trust that went to this person. It makes it very hard to just focus on the lovely memories and grieve.
I'm very excited for this trip too because we only started the ash-sprinkling process last month (my grandma's wishes were for her ashes to sprinkled in a bay off the gulf islands here, San Francisco, Prague (her birthplace) and Florence). It's felt wonderful to begin to put some closure to everything and celebrate her in a way I know she'd want.

I guess he's just trying to cash in before everyone is sick of that song. I was sick of it after about the fifth time I heard it on the radio. Now they play it practically twice an hour. Ugh.
