Those of you in Seattle, go to Tractor Tavern tomorrow night. Those in Portland, go to Doug Fir on Saturday. Do not ask why. Do not do anything else. Do not try to find out who is playing. Make it there by doors. Listen to the opener. Do as you are told. GO! You will be rewarded.

Saw Electric 6 last night (not Electric 5, as all Canadians have begun to assume). Awesome as per usual. I don't remember the sleazy car salesman schtick being a thing they did before. They do it fucking awesome now. Also, lead singer as drunk as any lead singer I have ever seen.
Best other moment: When the lead singer of terrible opening act, The Mandevilles, face-planted in to E6's drum set half way through their set.

I never thought of the car salesman analogy before, but they have always been sleazy and wretched looking. I believe that the lead singer, Dick Valentine, was wearing the same oversized suit every time I saw them, and it always had stains of some sort on it. They're playing Calgary tomorrow night, but I won't be able to catch them this year. They roll through the same venue every year in March so I hope to catch them next time.
