Pretty pissed that they're skipping Vancouver on that farewell tour.

Not a fan , but I cannot wrap my head around doing a "farewell" tour and not going coast to coast. That is no beuno.

There's an entire week between them playing Australia, and playing Calgary. Wrap your head around that.

Same night as the alexisonfire farewell show, though I wouldn't take you as a big alexisonfire fan. Alexisonfire is poop. Those guys need to lighten up. Someone needs to hug Dallas Green or something, WHY U SO MOROSE?

Dropkick Murphys is playing at the Wilma in Missoula. I heard those guys are pretty fun live. Super fun. So fun I broke my foot jumping out of the pit/over the barricade, climbed on stage with a broken foot, danced around with 30+ other females, and sang "Kiss me I'm shitfaced" into the mic. 2 months on crutches, totally worth it.

They're playing Missoula, Spokane, and Eugene, but no Seattle. FUCK! Some of my besties live in those towns but there's likely no way I can make it out for any of those shows. DKM is one of my favorite live bands, though. Definitely check them out!

Going to see San Francisco band Tigon tonight at The Shakedown in Bellingham. If anybody is in the area and are in the mood for heavy tunes come out and rock out

I'm not the biggest alexisonfire fan but I would love to see them. A couple of their songs get me super pumped in a ragey way.

I've seen them a few times, and they're a lot of fun live. One show was particularly memorable because someone in the crowd threw a shoe on-stage and hit George (lead screamer) right in the junk. They stopped, he recovered, laughed, then they went on.
Other than that I know there was an incident involving security at one of the venues here that they mention every time they're through town. I'm pretty sure the only reason they're playing Edmonton is because they've had a few pretty memorable shows here.
That said, you'd think Vancouver would also be on the list just to makeup for the free show that was cancelled due to the mini-riot during the Olympics

I love that Candians riot often enough that some of the riots can be classified as 'mini-riots'.

That wasn't excatly a riot, but there were way too many people trying to attend that free show. All that really happened was the barricades in front of the stage collapsed and people got landed on. Just a few broken legs, nothing major.
They already made up for that show last winter. (Still pissed they're not coming)

Yeah I didn't think it was anything terribly major, so I figured I'd downgrade it from 'riot'. Oh well.

They just added a third show for Toronto to their tour. Motherfuckers better add Vancouver.
On a lighter note, crossing Polica off my to see list tomorrow night. Slowly relieving the musical sting from missing Sasquatch 2012.

Portland folks: as per Geno, Jack White will be performing a secret show at a laundromat on NW 14th and Glissan in about five minutes. If you are in that neighborhood, I advise getting your ass over there as quickly as possible.
I'm all the way on the other side of the river, but Stormy is just up the street and she's on her way now.

Man-o-nam. Ran over there from work and got there at like 4:35. It was already full and overflowing into the parking lot. I still would have stayed but you could not see or hear him and it was 96 degrees. Anyone who got in must have been right around there to start with.

Also, it is spelled "Glisan."

Hey, I ended up seeing a show anyway! Deer Taking a Shit was playing at this little known venue called Outside The Bus Window On The Side Of The Road.

I always thought Deer Taking a Shit was more fun live than their more popular contemporary Dog Taking a Shit.
