New shows: Jack White August 14th at WAMU Theater, My Morning Jacket w/ Shabazz Palaces September 7th at Marymoor Park. I might have to go to both of these.

My sis wants me to drive with her down to Washington early-mid August (she will be living north of Seattle for 3 months). I'm considering going with her if I have the vacation time. Any shows in the Seattle area yall would recommend... likely after August 4 and before August 15?

The hell? $50 + fees for a Gotye ticket? That's kinda bullshit. I mean, I'm not going, but I still think that's kinda bullshit forcing people to pay that much for fucking Gotye. What a joke. I guess he's just trying to cash in before everyone is sick of that song. I was sick of it after about the fifth time I heard it on the radio. That's pretty harsh, you didn't have to stoop so low.

Now my early pronunciation, "Got ya!", is a lot more fitting.

Another Seattle show in addition to Jack White and MMJ, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes 9/15 at Marymoor. I haven't heard any chatter about their new album so I'm assuming it's nothing special.

It's like, whatever. They actually simmered down their sound quite considerably.
I guess I'm in for the Saturday of Capitol Hill Block Party and the Monday of Bumbershoot. So yeah.

I love Girl Talk shows, but I love My Morning Jacket shows more, and word on the street is they are playing Edgefield the same night (not a part of MusicFestNW). Along with the Seattle show, MMJ finally announced the Edgefield show I mentioned a while back. Saturday, 9/8/12.

I will be at that Gotye show and it's going to be awesome, despite that one song where everyone is going to sing along.
He has a lot of other great material. The backlash he's received based on one song that got bigger then I would imagine he is even comfortable with is kind of brutal.

That dude's music is ALL over the place. I can't even make it through his new album.

I haven't even bought tickets yet. It's a Wednesday show so it is really dependant on what I can make work, workwise.
