We were in 104, right behind the stage, but they decided to close all the sections behind the stage so we got moved to 210.
Problem is we paid $160 for our seats and now we are sitting one section over from our friends who paid $40. So I've been dealing with Ticketmaster trying to get them to refund some of our money or move us to a better section...it hasn't been going well.

$40? That's either a typo or your friends told you the wrong price. Mine were $115.

Prince put on some kinda show tonight! I am just an unbelievably sweaty mess! Holy shit does he ever give it. Easily the greatest stadium show I've ever seen. It was so much goddamn fun because he simply has that intangible super-stardom and talent to treat the venue like a funk jam in his basement yet make it absolutely larger than life at the same time. He had some jams going for almost 20 minutes, it was like being in a club with motherfuckin' Prince bringing in the beats, groove and funk.
What a night, not only did I get to see a life form from another planet entertain us for 3 hours, but I got to see Maceo Parker honk his horn all night long. Just unreal!
I know he has been playin' multi-multiple encores this tour, but this was the first show I've been to where it actually felt like the crowd brought the band back. By the 4th encore there was less than half the crowd left because all the lights came on and staff began hauling shit off the stage and cleaning up the confetti on the floor. Yet a solid 4000 people refused to leave, and of course that crazy bastard comes out after 20 minutes and thousands of empty seats staring at him to keep playin' with all the house lights on. Eventually he yelled for the lights to go down and had everyone dancing once again. Wow!
THANKS WOMPSTER!

Damn I am really tempted to grab some cheap tickets off craigslist and go to this show in Van. My friend is writing his last exam to get is bachelors of Chemistry today, maybe this would be a good excuse to bring him along, he does like Prince...

Yeah dude, if your friend enjoys either aliens in tight pants, funk, dancing, sax legends, pop classics, non-stop guitar solos, screamin' your face off, or having the best time of your life, then they will definitely want to see Prince where you can get all of the above magically stuffed into one cray-cray (wadap Pea!) night.

Holy shit Prince was amazing. Totally worth it. The only bad thing about the concert was the stupid woman behind me who wouldn't stop playing her fucking tambourine off beat throughout the whole show. My girlfriend was seconds from shoving it down her throat....and I would have let her.

So Foster the Peeps are playing Deer Lake this summer. To put that into perspective, bands that have played this venue: Arcade Fire (2007), Bjork (2007), White Stripes (2008?), the Black Keys just played there this summer. I knew they had buzz and whatnot, but fuck me I didnt know they were THAT popular. Considering those bands can headline or at least subheadline Sasquatch I am very pleased they most likely wont be a Sasquatch this year.

They're playing WAMU theater in Seattle on that same tour and it holds upwards of 7000.
I went to Deer Lake once this past summer and fell in love with it. Such a lovely park. I really want to catch a show there sometime.

Yeah, Mean Gene what do you think of the fact that The Black Keys played an all stadium tour in Canada? 10 000+ venues.
I'd advise anyone standing near him to take cover so that they aren't impaled by sharp dino baby head shrapnel.

It just seems like the most random bands get popular so suddenly. Just a few months ago I was listening to that Foster the People EP before they got onto the radio. Now they're playing a 7000 person venue. Like, how did they get here? How did they get so popular so fast? I know it's because of all the radio plays, but how did they get popular enough to play on top 40 radio so quickly?
