Fig I was thinking of going to that show; only have passed through Idaho on the way to other places, never saw a show there. We nearly went to The Decemberists a month ago. I

Idaho and Boise are really two completely different beasts. This Explosions show is at the Egyptian Theater which I have never been in but as far as I know, there are mostly seats with little standing room so I have no idea what to expect. I have been waiting to see these guys for YEARS though so I dont really care where it happens.

The two things I know about Idaho are potatoes and some tourist attraction hotel/waterpark combo I see ads for all the time.

News is starting to come out about Karen O's "Psycho-Opera" and it sounds freaking amazing.
It is called Psycho Virgins. Karen O, the rest of the YYY's and the dude who put together the NASA project (Know's album of the week pick) are doing the music. The Creators Project is producing (!!!). To top it all off members of the Raconteurs are performing.
It is in NYC from October 12th to the 22nd.
This just sounds so incredibly awesome.

Everything about that sounds pretty neat except for Karen O. I really can't stand her :/

I love me some Karen O. The YYY's are just so freaking awesome and I enjoyed the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack way too much.
And I want to make babies with her.

I'm with Pea on this one. That woman is insufferable, even if her cover of 'Worried Shoes' is damn near perfect.

Her animal sounds on Embyonic were the final nail for me.

Holy crow. Yes, that is a Daniel Johnston cover. You should listen to the original.

I like the song Art Star, love it in fact, but that is about as far as my interest goes.
