I emailed them, and got a reply two hours later:
"Hello,
Let me first apologize for the downtime you experienced tonight. Unfortunately the timing for this incident was very bad, as both myself and our systems administrator were on a flight at the time. Immediately upon landing we got everything fixed and forums are now back online and accessible.
We had in place contingency plans for an event such as this, however it appears that it was not enough to handle the situation. We will be updating our procedures to ensure there are no issues of this type in the future.
Again, apologies for the inconvenience.

Oh, that's cool. It's nice to know they're on top of it. For a minute I thought I got myself banned for laying into that Conor Oberst girl like I did, and I thought Damn, Know must really like him some Bright Eyes.
