dubstep is not popular?? where do you live? if they can book hudmo.. they can book flying lotus, joker, kode9, ramadanman, mount kimbie, etc. hopefully they stay away from rusko & the wobblers.. but that's likely the type that would get a set later in the night. book some house djs like omar s, masters at work, karizma, theo parrish, etc. but that won't happen Only people into electronic music really know dubstep. There are only a few artist who have gotten bigger. Sasquatch has very little pure electronic music and what they do have is well know in the indi rock world. I really want some dubstep or house music at sasquatch, but the chance of it actually happening is not that great.

Does anyone have a good dubstep definition for HG, because I sure can't define It. Dubstep(dʌbˌstɛp) -nounA term used by rave kids to refer to a specific genre of electronic music that is heavy in bass, because if this world is missing anything, it's specific genres of electronic music. Using the term "dubstep," is more like saying, "I know electronic music, and you don't." If your musical selections includes less than 85% electronic music, you really don't know what dubstep is, and you are old enough to buy beer.

Dubstep(dʌbˌstɛp) -nounA term used by rave kids who lack a sense of humor to refer to a specific genre of electronic music that is heavy in bass, because if this world is missing anything, it's specific genres of electronic music. Using the term "dubstep," is more like saying, "I know electronic music, and you don't." If your musical selections includes less than 85% electronic music, you really don't know what dubstep is, and you are old enough to buy beer. Now that right there is a selfing if I ever saw one I feel like I just tore up a picture of the pope in front of a catholic. I edited the definition above to be more sympathetic to those who were offended by the initial definition. As a token of my remorse, I'll buy you all a box of glow sticks. Truce?

Molly was everywhere last year. That's not the point of the that kind of music. It's about freedom and having fun. And Horned Gramma... if Rusko played Sasquatch! he would tear the Rumpus Room UP!! Caspa would be sick. Downlink would be sick. Steve Aoki would be out of this world but I know that's not dubstep. Bassnectar would be amazing but unlikely with the announced February show at the Paramount. I would go for Z-Trip and Boys Noize again but I know that's not dubstep either. Nero would be an amazing addition!

I've been listening to a bit of dubstep lately (james blake and mount kimbie mostly) and even though it's good enough I just spend the whole time wishing I was listening to Burial. I understand why there are all these other artists doing similar stuff but what's the point when an artist already perfected the genre?

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South East London. The earliest dubstep releases date back to 1998 and were darker, more experimental, instrumental dub remixes of 2-step garage tracks. Its overall sound has been described as "tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals". please no. wasn't there enough molly at sasquatch last year? nothing against drugs... I want to see what a Sasquatch! weekend would look like if it had as much LSD floating around as there was molly last year. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to a Furthur show or Wakarusa if you want that Gramma.. Hippies bring that stuff in..

See, you're getting the hang of it. You're completely welcome to post about incredibly shitty artists in threads that are dedicated to incredibly shitty music.
You are NOT, however, welcome to use numbers as letters.
