I've never heard of wristbands having a barcode, that seems ridiculous. And, yeah people wear them for months afterwards, but I'm sure the graphics wear off on them, even if they stay intact. good call peatrick Yeah, that's what I meant. I know they can last forever, but the likelihood of the barcode graphics staying the same is pretty slim. Showers, sweat, etc. etc. would at least distort the barcode a little bit, and if they have special barcodes that don't, then they spent way too much damn money on those wristbands. Having a barcode on a wristband and not making it water proof would make zero sense, especially if several thousands are using it for entry. The barcode on my 2009 ACL wristband is in perfect condition, and it rained the entire festival. You can laminate paper. |

I scored a backstage wristband last year and it is supper durable. I have been wearing it since last year. It is cloth so it couldn't have a barcode. Cloth wristbands might be to expensive to do for everyone.
