I never really thought of that. However, two years, any "space" we were supposed to get was pretty much ignored. Since me and my friends accidentally both both camping tickets for 1 RV, we should have had plenty of space, but our neighbors kinda encroached on our space (which was completely cool with us, though).
So basically, even if you do get set space per person or car, it won't really be applicable. It is instead all about your finesse with your neighbors.

I can 100% promise you that camping this year will not be the clusterfuck it was 2 years ago or the sardine can it was last year. There won't be anyone in the campground that won't also be in the festival so they SHOULD have an exact number of campers in mind and SHOULD plan the campground organizing accordingly. Ah hell, there's no 100% guarantees here, nevermind.

does anyone know how space will be allotted on this new per person camping pass system. (okay so i realize that this question was already asked, but the reply was basically "it doesn't matter because you don't end up getting that much space anyway", however, they can't just open up the campground and let it be a free-for-all... there has to be some standards.)

You'd be surprised how there isn't really a standard. They don't have spots marked off like I've seen at coachella in the past, so it's not that organized... Basically you Dr. Garbanzoht for what you can get. If you have a car with 2 people in it, I'm willing to bet you will get the same amount of space as a car with 4 ppl, unless the car with 4 ppl bitches to get more space.

No really, it's basically an organized free-for-all. they basically just have you park each car evenly and tightly then you fit in tents around that as you can.

Then again, we are overlooking the point Peatrick made above. This year, you can't camp without a ticket to the festival. Last year they had to fit 35,000 campers in a camp site made for 20,000. It's no wonder they crammed everyone in. This year, they should give much more space.

And if you find yourself falling victim to scary threatening LiveNation man that says he will have your car towed if you don't move it closer to the next parked car, just scream "NO!!!" enough times at him and he will eventually move on.
