One of my favorite bands! This alone guarantees a friday ticket purchase for me. Their shows are nothing short of amazing.

There's a rumour that Hangout fest booked Foo Fighters, and that they're third billed (on the poster) behind Stevie Wonder and Widespread Panic. I know it's a different scene, but maybe this could mean we've got bigger headliners in store? Hangout isn't any bigger than Sasquatch either (35k max attendance i think). Apparently the full lineup could be out as early as tomorrow so I guess we'll see.

"The inaugural Hangout Beach Festival, May 14th-16th, 2010, featured Trey Anastasio, Zac Brown Band, John Legend, The Roots, Ben Harper and Relentless7, The Black Crows, Alison Kraus and Union Station, Gov’t Mule, Ray Lamontagne, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Matisyahu, Girl Talk, and many more." I wouldn't read too much into it.

Fuck my life, if Sasquatch got John Legend and The Roots, I would watch their set just for the "Wake Up" cover.
EDIT: Also because The Roots are fucking incredible.

The only people who would give you crap for that are the regulars, and we all know you enough to pick up on the joke.

I made a "It gets my dick sucked" comment last night and I immediately thought, "God damnit, there are probably 10 regulars who get this joke and 500 lurkers who think I'm a total creep."

I hope they play their new album front to back at Sasquatch! They also played a ton of material from the first three records. Anyways, this is supposedly one of the weaker tracks on the upcoming album, but I love it. Its really hard to judge this song (or their performance) based on a cell phone recording. Alot of the dynamics (even in the old songs) are missing.

Well, They're second on the bill (it looks like Paul Simon's font is bigger? i dunno, I'm reaching here) for Hangout. I'd say we have a good chance of another "big" headliner. hangoutmusicfest.com/?page_id=38

Top half is pretty good, remarkably. Undercard is sort of pitiful, imo.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Get Foo Fighters off that list and the top half of the bill is unstoppable.
