God, yeah B-Rad, I just can't be genocidal towards my brain cells like I used to. No joke.

I was only half serious when I posted that, and some sleep/H2O are definitely your best friends. You have to take it easy that way you can party for longer and not be fried before your out of your 20's.

Actually no. You gotta sleep sometime, and crashing in your tent after rolling all night once the sun has come is a good way to get VERY dehydrated. I'm all for getting fucked up, but you gotta take care of your shit or you're not gonna have a good time. Hydrate or die, kids. This fellow 29yr old agrees with you here. 4 am is my bedtime at the latest. Then it's also great to have a band in the late afternoon to have a little shut eye for; Saturday 5pm main stage for my friends and I will forever be called 'The Naptional'. Both of these comments are spot on. Especially with the extra day of music this year, if you do not party with at least a bit of responsibility you will be fucked. In a bad way. Also, I love your term "The Naptional." Kinda want to take one right now...

Other than a full on passed-out during a show at the Gorge 10+ plus years ago, I've never napped inside the venue. Camping at the Gorge for non-festival shows leaves way too much time for drinking before a 7pm show. Being at the venue most of the day is a great way to sober up. Also, love "the Naptional," term.

The best way to go to bed is smoke some weed.

Thedude, I know you were just saying that in jeste, however I would like to point out something here... Have you ever gone to bed at night, perhaps a little tipsy, perhaps sober, and listened to music while putting yourself to sleep? I do on occasion, and it can be an enjoyable experience. It can also be a thoroughly enjoyable aural experience doing the same thing at a live venue like the Gorge, where the sounds of music, cheering and conversation echo off the hillsides. I am no sleep psychologist, but listening to a band like the National in varying levels consciousness can be fulfilling - and it's not like their live show has any huge visual component to it. I also don't sleep in very well at all, so I have become quite good at (and become somewhat reliant on) a little shut eye during the day. Keeps me going knowing that i'll be fresh when the night hits. Call me old if you will... And good on you for the Menomena/National show coming up. I would be pumped to go to that double bill... ...so long as I had a nap beforehand, haha

I'll admit, I was up front for The National and a little too stoned so I lost focus a few times during their set, so I was definitely excited to have the opportunity to see them again (a little more sober this time). They and Menomena were fucking great. Sufjan Stevens was there too and did backing vocals during Afraid of Everyone and Terrible Love. Gave me a total indie boner.

Did anyone see the naked tripping kid during Edward Sharpe? He was screaming and hugging people and yanking on his penis like an infant. "This is....DIVINE EXISTENCE!!!"
And before you give me shit my girlfriend loves Edward Sharpe.

Didn't see it, because obviously I was nowhere near that stage when Edward Nutsack was playing, but I've heard about it at least half a dozen times and every one of those times people have phrased it similarly, referring to him as an infant or a child or a baby when stating how he was fondling himself.
Interesting.
So many people lost their shit last year. The most fucked up dude I ever did see in my life got dragged up the hill and rolled out in a wheelchair; I saw a couple kids try to steal a statue from the cocktail garden and get arrested; some cute young girl that was rolling HARD jumped in front of a shuttle on the way to the campground and started dancing in the headlights and got arrested; I saw one girl totally hit the ground after Ween's set and I had to interact with a LiveNation goon to get her medical attention - I'm pretty sure she got arrested too.
I couldn't find any published reports about any deaths at Sasquatch, though, this year or any year previous. Just the kid who went missing that was in all those flyers on Tuesday morning.

I stumbled upon 2 people tripping HARD on mushrooms within 3 or so hours of the camping gates opening on Friday haha. We had just gotten there and were walking to get ice when I saw them already covered in mud and rolling around on the ground. I decided to scare them and tell them the cops were coming for them

Never did find out if they found the missing kid. I'm assuming they did; there were never any news stories about it after the fact. Probably just got really fucked up and wandered off.
Pea, it's so dick to fuck with people when they're trippin!

I was wondering the same thing. I just was just hoping they found him unharmed. That girl looked so sad when they stopped by our tent. I'm guessing just got too fucked up and couldn't find his camping spot. I have done that a few times in the past.
