We've gone over this a lot of times but Sasquatch simply cannot afford them. Radiohead routinely headline the largest festivals in the world, festivals that have 3-4 times higher attendance than Sasquatch does. I have no idea what they cost to book but it's definitely more than all three Sasquatch headliners combined for this year. Since the capacity at the Gorge is capped, the only two ways they could afford them would be to either 1. Raise the cost of tickets or 2. spend less money on other acts.
2 seems pretty unlikely and I would prefer they didn't and 1 would be fine with me but I doubt that they will do it. Tickets are already pretty expensive and I'm sure that they want to contain costs.
the only way I see it happening is if they dedicate a day to a much smaller lineup (as they did in 2006) where it's Radiohead and maybe 5 other bands. This could definitely happen so maybe I should clarify and say that Radiohead won't be there unless they make significant changes to the model they've been using.
one more thing to consider. I dunno how the exclusivity clauses work for things like this but I'm sure Coachella and Bonnaroo are trying to get them as well and will take precedence over Sasquatch.

We've already established that they are probably adding a Friday night lineup. The only reason I think Radiohead won't be there is that every damn year we get our hopes up and then they book fucking Ben Harper again.
I swear to god if Ben Harper is there this year I am going to go find an actual Sasquatch and kick him in the nards.

I would love love love to see Radiohead again. Saw them in Vancouver back in '03, but somehow ever since I've been in the right place at the wrong time and haven't managed to see them again. I agree though, they are probably too big to make a Sasquatch appearance, even if there's another abbreviated Friday line up this year. Radiohead could sell out 3 days of just them at the Gorge, let alone with other bands as part of a festival. Sadly, I'm not going to get my hopes up. I swear to god if Ben Harper is there this year I am going to go find an actual Sasquatch and kick him in the nards. I feel your sentiment, but would really like to see you do this. Bring Ben Back!

I think ben harper is at least 30 times more likely than radiohead. You are right.... we all just need to snuff the dream... no suffocate it. From now on, I think we need to have a board-wide ban on any more dreams of bands that just aren't feasible (ie. daft punk and radiohead, rage, tiesto, etc)

That is remarkably off-topic (and remarkably off-key).
Performances like this one are the reason I don't leave the campgrounds until the middle of the afternoon.

No qualms with your camera work, junior. But come on, she sounded like shit and it looked like she knew it.

Haha, junior?? jk. I know exactly what you mean. I attribute it to the fact that they are a really new band and maybe they weren't used to having a few thousand people watch them. Yeah, they aren't very musically talented, but I kinda like their music. well if you didn't like that video you should check some of the other ones out. I have like a 13 minute slideshow of 1 picture a second, so theres a lot to see. haha. and lots more coming.

I attribute it to the fact that they are a really new band and maybe they weren't used to having a few thousand people watch them. Exactly. Pitchfork turns bedroom composers into superstars overnight and they're suddenly required to perform and they just plain aren't able to do it. Anyone remember Passion Pit in `09? Jesus what a mess. The whole front end of any given Squatch day is crammed full of blog sensations who sound just awful. I'd rather chill at camp, hydrate a little, play some Phase 10 and save my energy for when the good shit starts.

Pitchfork turns bedroom composers into superstars overnight That is the absolute best way I've heard this point described. You ever hook up with a girl you probably shouldnt have, then try to convince your friends that she's hotter than she actually is. Because of pitchfork i did that exactly with Cymbals Eat Guitars

I do too. I would totally go out of my way to see them again. I just killed the shit out of Why There Are Mountains when i first got it.
That last comment was pointed more at what pitchfork can do for bands, and a joke about screwing ugly girls

Cymbals blew me away the first time I saw them. I fully support that band. Yeah I saw them a couple of weeks ago and they were fantastic. I talked to them afterwards about how I had to miss them at Sasquatch and I was told, "Good, because that show sucked." So those whose only experience with them was at Sasquatch might have a tainted perspective.
