Alright. DFA79 is reforming. I'm in no position to deny Outkast anymore. That lineup may be real after all (probably not though). I have no idea what that means. The problem with outkast isn't that it's unlikely that they will ever reunite (like it was with DFA), it's that if they did it would be huge news and they wouldn't do it at Sasquatch. Outkast is significantly bigger than ANY name on the Coachella lineup this year. If anything this whole thing makes that list look even more ridiculous because it would mean that Sasquatch's lineup kicks Coachella's ass

No, it's that I was as sure that DFA79 wasn't reforming as I was that Outkast wouldn't play Sasquatch. I don't now what to believe anymore.

I know know pretty much quashed all hope, but since I didn't get to gush... ...if this is the lineup, the fest will sell out the day after it's announced. The billing seems vaguely realistic - Chem Bros. have the stature to headline Sasquatch, but not the brand of music - they couldn't put them up against another EDM act in the tent. So, why not give them three hours from, like 9-midnight, in the tent alongside a headliner like Soundgarden? I can tell you where I'd be. This is a model Coachella has been very successful with, and I know that we're not in socal, but EDM is growing by leaps and bounds everywhere, and Sasquatch's population is more diverse every year as its reputation shines. And honestly, the undercard isn't that much better than last year's. Take out the headliners (FF, AF, Outkast, Soundgarden) and subs (Lips, Black Keys, Roots, PJ, Death Cab) and the lineup looks pretty realistic to me. All I'm saying is, 10th anniversary show, Snacks said they have big plans...you just never know. Have you been to Sasquatch before? The Chemical Brothers would need a tent at least 3 times larger than the one they had last year. I would imagine them drawing a similar sized crowd to last year's Deadmau5 set. I think they definitely got it right by putting the late night EDM artists on the Bigfoot stage. My mistake, I meant the bigfoot.

Hey folks Travis with Guerrilla Candy here. I wanted to confirm with you all that this lineup is false. The reason I can confirm its falsity is because I created it. I didn't expect this to be taken so seriously and it wasn't my intent to mess with anyone or get expectations up. I was just bored and thought it would be fun to post a fake lineup on here under the guess the lineup thread since I Dr. Garbanzoured it would be appreciated more on these boards than elsewhere on the web. I logged in under the username Yoshimi because I didn't remember my old username/password. I'm using this username, Guerrillacandy, to be 100 percent legit and also to let you know that this lineup is fake. My apologies if I upset anyone with my guess at the lineup. I am fbelt sandered several of you thought this was a genuine lineup but sadly it isn't. I was hoping the inclusion of Outkast would be the red flag that gave it away. I have no insider info or insight whatsoever into who is and isn't performing at Sasquatch! this year, although I did make my prediction based off several educated guesses so some of it may be plausible. Anyway, I'm glad you all enjoyed my conjecture and I'll see you all at the Gorge Memorial Day weekend. I wasn't sure where to post this on these boards but I Dr. Garbanzoured this would be as god a spot any so here is what may, or may not, be a fairly accurate forecast for Sasquatch! 2011: Foo Dr. Garbanzohters/Outkast/Soundgarden/Arcade Fire/the Flaming Lips performing Dark Side of the Moon/The Black Keys/The Roots/PJ Harvey/Death Cab for Cutie/Queens of the Stone Age/Fleet Foxes/Mudhoney/The Decemberists/Wu Tang Clan/Fistful of Mercy/Bright Eyes/Ghostland Observatory/Chemical Brothers/Cold War Kids/Cake/Cee Lo Green/Chromeo/Wiz Khalifa/Janelle Monae/Surfer Blood/Das Racist/Fitz and the Tantrums/The Drums/Matt & Kim/Metric/Best Coast/And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead/Sleigh Bells/Wavves/Florence and the Machine/Wolf Parade/Flying Lotus/Black Mountain/Black Rebel Motorcycle Club/the Builders and the Butchers/Dead Confederate/Fruit Bats/Toro Y Moi/Destroyer/the Twilight Singers/Wire/Menomena/Weekend/Cage the Elephant/The Kills/Blue Scholars/Jaill/Grinderman/The Streets/Happy Birthday/Fergus and Geronimo/Old 97s/Pearly Gates Music/Mew/Warpaint/Retribution Gospel Choir/The Presidents of the USA/Wild Flag/Papercuts/Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks/Ted Leo & the Pharmacists/Titus Andronicus/Wintersleep/Delta Spirit/The Head and the Heart/Moondoggies/Macklemore/Mister Heavenly/Ezra Furman and the Harpoons/Mad Rad/Maktub/the Seattle Rock Orchestra performing Radiohead/Joel McHale/Childish Gambino/Donald Glover/Dave Attell/Nick Kroll/John Mulaney/Rob Delaney/Reggie Watts/Nikki Glaser/Anthony Jesselnik/Wyatt Cyenac

Thanks for clearing it up, Travis. Kudos on a smart lineup. I don't think you're breaking any hearts posting a killer fake lineup - it was fun to talk about, and I think most people took it with a grain of salt. Though we sometimes sounded delusional, myself included. Peace!

Nice work Travis. I think you'll end up nailing a good 70% of it.

Travis, well done on the lineup. I Dr. Garbanzoured it had to be someone pretty knowledgeable to create such a realistic template.
I am looking forward to seeing how many of your guesses were correct!

Wait. I call a bluff. So guerrillacandy guy created a username Yoshimi because he couldn't remember what his old user name was...and then created another user name to tell us this? I smell something fishy.

Man am I glad I haven't been reading this thread, or else that fake (OR IS IT!?) lineup would have been driving me crazy.
EDIT: Peatrick, "this guerilla candy guy"? Come on, man, that's Travis of Ear Candy, formerly of the Seattle PI (I think). He's been covering this shit for years.

Oh I'm familiar with and quite enjoy ear/guerrilla candy. By "that guy" I was referring to the user name that could in reality be any random Joe. I'm just playing devil's advocate
