I hate to say it, but since the mainstage is boxed in now it does give light shows a whole different aspect. How about a retractable main stage backing? When it gets windy/rainy/dark they can put it up, but when conditions are nice and the sun is shining I think everyone would benefit from having it open. WHO'S WITH ME>!?!!11

Have to remember the Tron movie they are doing is going to boost their fanbase to about double what it is now. Guaranteed if they had a good supporting act in the spot, a Daft Punk show at the Gorge would not be too far off. Not saying I wouldn't love to see it. I would be surprised if it happened at Sasquatch though.

How about a retractable main stage backing? Hold up Wolfy. . . . . . . That makes too much sense. I wasn't too heartbroken about the stage last year because it was completely necessary, but i live 150 miles away i feel bad for those who hadn't been to the gorge thousands of times.

Anybody who hasnt seen The Gorge without the backing missed out indefinitely. But it was a necessary change, imo.

I'm actually a huge fan of Randy Newman. I saw him in Seattle, it was fantastic.
He's a great songwriter. Great great great. Great like George Gershwin. Not all, but I imagine a fair number of his songs will still be around in 100-200 years. Not something I'd say about very many people.
