I LOVE the first (self-titled) Pinback record. They're increasingly uninteresing after that. Live, though, they're unbearable. They crank the emo up to eleven and hurry through every song; all the cool, deliberate interplay turns into mud. I saw them live last year and they were great. They weren't off key and the touring band made it all sound very tight. Little to no fuckups and the sold out crowd seemed to enjoy it alot. I think summer in abbadon and blue screen life were their best efforts.

Team Sleep is FARRRR superior to pinback Meh meh meh... i laugh at your foolishness Sure, if you are into the mostly Chino on vocals thing. That being said I'd take Deftones over Team Sleep any day of the week! Who's the more foolish, those with an educated opinion or a kid with a biased opinion?

After a week of intensive, holiday-themed, down-home Family Style Group Therapy at a million dollar vacation home in the mountains of Santa Cruz, negotiating the BART on New Years Eve and then having the person who has been stalking me since high school intentionally overdose on my parents' lawn, I'm feeling mildly cranky.
Still, no way in hell is Blue Screen Life better than Pinback's S/T.

I Just don't picture anything topping the song "Penelope"

S/T is a great, great record. 'Rousseau' tops 'Penelope' with its hands tied behind its back, and the opening 1-2-3-4 punch of 'Tripoli', 'Hurley', 'Charborg' and 'Chaos Engine' is one of the greatest Side Ones of any record I can think of at the moment.

You know what would be fucking amazing? Death From Above 1979 playing a show at Sasquatch. I know it will probably never happen but if they played one more show after all this time sasquatch would probably be one of the places they would do it. Or somewhere in canada.

It's probably mor likely that MSTRKRFT will play over DFA1979 . I would LOVE to see them just one more time.

If a Death From Above 1979 reunion won't happen I'll be more than happy with a Bloody Beetroots Death Crew 77 visit!

I didn't really get into their album as much I thought I would. But every live performance video I have watched has made me want to see them. Plus I really dig girls who can actually play their instruments.
