I hope they get Menomena before they break up. They hatez eachother I second that motion. Me too! I saw them opening for The National the other night - they were great! Would be a shame if they broke up.

That's fuckin awesome. Although, I don't know why they'd break up. they dont even have to talk to eachother. their albums are recorded by e-mail and they communicate through second parties. AND they make incredible music this way. seems kinda break-up proof.

Seems that things are going better now that Joe Haege has joined the band: blogs.seattleweekly.com/reverb/2010/09/interview_danny_seim_of_menome.php

Mister Heavenly was awesome by the way. Michael Cera was pretty good on bass too. I ended up meeting him after the show which was awesome. Also Pepper Rabbit was also amazing. Passion Pit was pretty good too. Fuck you lucky west coast motherfuckers. ... but thank you geno.

Yo La Tengo
I have been listening to a bit of their back catalogue (I wasn't knowledgeable enough to get them on the first time around) - and the music appeals to my matured primary auditory complex. I took a look and realized they have never played Sasquatch before. Which is somewhat surprising, considering they have had continuous tenure throughout Sasquatch's existence.
Anybody agree, or have insight into their live performances?

I'd love it if Yo La Tengo played Sasquatch. You're right, it is kind of weird they never have. Maybe Adam Snack's isn't a fan?
'And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out' is a beautiful record. In fact I'm going to put that on right now.

And maybe they can bring their "Wheel of Fortune" too

Mm, now I'm listening to 'I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass'. I've had it since it came out and I never realized how great it is. Which is a LOT great.

It's definitely one of my favorites of YLT's

if YLT brings the wheel of fortune I will at least be there at the beginning of the set to see if they end up performing a tv show

If I can think of just one clever gimmick that would fall flat on its face at a large-scale music festival, it is Yo La Tengo's wheel of fortune. I love the idea, but 25,000 people loving it seems like a stretch.

I had to take a trip down memory lane with I'm Not Afraid of You And I Will Beat Your Ass. That album was on heavy rotation when I first bought it, but I hadn't heard it in over a year. I love how it starts and ends with a 10+ minute kick-ass jam, with a whole mess of different stuff in between.
Good call on them being a Sasquatch possibility. I've been searching through my brain looking for their recent U.S. Festival appearances, but I'm having a tough time finding anything. I think they played Coachella recently? Maybe they don't like festivals?
