That new Toro y Moi single is off the charts amazing and I hope they play. I also hope they have learned to translate most of his songs live. They have, as much as I love Chaz, I like his music so much more when accompanied by Patrick and Andy live. Oh, ad I'm bout to ask Andy if there's any news about them playing or not this year. Sorry, I kinda lagged on asking. Andy: "No idea. It's too early to tell. We're doing a US tour in March and April so we probably won't be on the west coast in May but you never know."

I think they would be a perfect headliner for the bigfoot stage or late afternoon on the wookie. bigfoot = wookie = bigfoot Oops whichever the smallest stage is. And damn about Toro.

Okay, after days of contemplation, I think these are going to be the headliners in 2011:
Foo Fighters Arcade Fire Beck REM
I know I'm not saying anything new, but we haven't speculated in a while, and I can't stop thinking about headliners.

I was thinking about those same headliners but came to the conclusion that three repeats, 2 as headliners (REM & Beck) and one who has played twice already (AF). I would still be down for that though!

Beck Arcade Fire R.E.M. Foo Fighters
Actually I'd be extremely happy with that set of headliners, but I still had to point it out.

HG - I feel like you love word games. I bet you're great at scrabble.
I have a feeling there will be at least two, maybe three of those headliners, but that there will be a surprise non-repeat, someone who I wouldn't have pegged before as a headliner. But for the life of me I can't make any good guesses. I wouldn't have picked any of the three last year. But WHO??!?!

I really doubt they'd bring REM back already and I sincerely hope they don't bring Beck back (I love beck but his shows have become too boring these days. What did he play last time he headlined like 60 minutes?)

Yeah man, a Beck show is NOT what it used to be. Nor is the music. No passion at all; hardly any interest in what he's doing is apparent.
Still, I'll take the decent act that I know to the unknown one that I might potentially not be able to stand.

I guess my logic is weird but if its a headliner I hate I will either go see whats going on in the dance tent or head back to the campground. If Beck plays I'll stay in the off chance he's great even though I know he's gonna suck and I'll just end up angry

Personally, I love Beck and his live shows. And, not to offend, but even in his worst days, I can't imagine Beck being any worse of a performance than, say, Pavement at last year's Sasquatch. Which for me, was the worst 90 minutes of my life. Just my opinion.

No, I was there. The Lips went on first, blew the roof off the house, and then looked absolutely bored and resentful for ninety minutes while Beck wandered aimlessly through Sea Change.
Wayne and Beck hated each other, and they weren't shy about saying so. It definitely showed on-stage.

Worse still that the Lips as a backing band brought nothing new to those songs.
