Sasquatches hate metal.
Anyway, after the Mars Volta debacle and the mass exodus from the mainstage that ensued they seem to have made the intelligent decision of keeping it a little more chill. For the hippies.

Would anybody else be happy to see Megadeth close out sunday? Apparently they have two new albums out. Not that I've listened to them in like a thousand years, but as a whole festival experience it would be pretty wild to have it book ended by High Profile indie act and Lengendary Metal act. Plus they are consumate professionals when it comes to melting the faces of large crowds. Not saying it makes 100% sense, but with them on the mainstage and a big DJ in the tent it could workout well. while i don't have a problem with Megadeth... I can't imagine them playing Sasquatch is a possibility. It wouldn't make much sense. -- but i applaud you for thinking outside the box.

50 miles is a very reasonable request.

I agree that Arcade Fire is probably a lock for a headliner. Cut Copy and The Walkmen both have albums coming out and they would be awesome as sub-headliners. the walkmen played at like 1 in the afternoon last year, they aren't going to even come remotely close to sub-headlining....

Yes, but in the world of "hip indie bands" this tends to happen (sub-headline maybe, near the top for sure) especially if they have a new album coming out. Think about where Fleet Foxes or Bon Iver would land if they had a tour and new stuff to promote, I would say it's a safe bet to put them miles above their last time slots (and like The Walkmen neither had much mainstream radio play). Plus the Walkmen have a decent size catalog to draw from and have been at it for a decade now.
The other thing they have going for them is this "second coming" type hype towards all the bands who were part of the rock resurgence scene back in the early 2000's. It's like a fucking union I swear, once 2010 hit their seniority and instant promotions kicked in.

This is what i have quickly thrown together so far. The wishlist bands are either so big i felt they belonged in wishlist or there was not enough information backing up why they would be able to play next year. great job lets see what other bands we can add to the list.
Idea’s for next years sasquatch
Reason behind sasquatch appearence The residents-good live show and talked about hitting north west in spring
Chromeo - New album coming out next month and need to do an artist set after that less-than stellar DJ set in 2009.
Sleigh Bells - Sasquatch loves the "it" bands and seemed to miss the ball on them this year. I'm almost certain they will be making an appearance. New album not to long ago
Yeasayer - I was surprised to not see them on the bill also this year. My gut tells me we will see them holding down a slot similar to Passion Pit's this year on the main stage.
Fleet Foxes - Pretty sure they will have a new album next year, and being the Sasquatch darlings that they are I'm betting they will be back.
Bassnectar - After his massive success at Coachella this year I'm thinking Zacks will want to bring some dubstep insanity.
Of Montreal - New album coming out next month. Had a huge crowd last year, I can see them coming back and doing it again.
S. Carey - Drummer for Bon Iver who has a new album out. Perfect Yeti Stage artist.
Cut Copy - Many people have asked for them over the years and I think it's just time that they finally get brought up here. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a new album out soon as well.
Deer Tick - They've been gaining ground lately, and even though I'm not a fan of their new album I could see them making up part of the "folk" niche of the lineup.
Phoenix - Not into them really but there is no denying how hot they are right now. Another band that I was surprised not to see on this year's bill.
Brandon Flowers - His debut album comes out next month. I'm sure he'll be stopping by almost every festival next year.
Chemical Brothers - I'll admit, this is definitely a "wishlist" addition for me. But with a new album that just came out I could see them OWNING one of the late night sets.
Black mountain-new album out mid September
jason Isbell and The 400 Unit (they will for sure tour next year and didn't even touch the PNW last one)
Chk Chk Chk - New album just out, no PNW dates (though it's still early) and if you never seen them live, they fucking kill!
Panda Bear album this fall.
Mice Parade-new album this fall.
Philistines Jr.-nnew album and tour in 2011
Surfer Blood-played announcement show for 2010
Local natives-killed it last year rising in popularity
Skybox-new album in January and they fit the sasquatch mold really well and could be pretty popular in the near future
The walkmen-new album
Everything Everything- album out and have potential for growth
Death Cab-new album Wish list Arcade Fire Radiohead Man man Best Coast Real Estate Liars Titus Andronicus Major Lazer Toro Y Moi My Brightest Diamond

Does, "Because I said so," count as an educated suggestion?

I love the walkmen but they've been around for a long time and unless something huge changes they aren't going to suddenly skyrocket in popularity. They've always been more of a critics band anyway. They would play at 3 or 4 at the latest

Since I'm a gushing fanboy, I'll just say that Chromeo's new album leaked yesterday and it's the funkiest, coolest album ever made. They BETTER bring their fancy footwork to Squatch next year.

So you're telling me that you downloaded it for free, and then when it is released you are going to delete the files and pay to download them again.
