A week IS a long time to travel, just ask Broken Social Scene and Pavement. Pavement might be a little belligerent (but their not really all that scary), but Kevin Drew would be a beautiful charming saint.

ICP for Sasquatch '11 Though to be honest, I actually think Juggalos would be friendly based on the infomercials for Gathering of the Juggalos. They emphasis fellowship a lot. No offense, but you bring up ICP playing sasquatch and I get hammered on for mentioning hollywood undead and Shwayze out of sarcasm? Wow. I hate you too. Don't worry, I hate me too. I already have no life and am on a message board all the time as you made me remember. But the ICP comment was pure sarcasm. Message boards are really bad with this sarcasm stuff.

....And people who say 'No Offence' before saying something that is clearly intended to offend, are just plain stupid.

Shouldn't you be out with friends doing crazy non-cpu weekend related amazingness? I mean, I am a little let down here. I thought to myself, "hey it's the weekend, I bet mhanch83 is just CRUSHING it out there in the world beyond keyboards and and high resolution LCD". You better be typing this between one handed keg stands or something, I totally had such high hopes for you and all your friends!!! Hah, nice. Bars do close around 1:30am, you know? Besides the fact, I'm not a college frat boy either so those days of being a mindless partying kid are behind me. I had all day to do something constructive with my friends. I'll have you know, typing messages on an I-phone takes mere seconds.

....And people who say 'No Offence' before saying something that is clearly intended to offend, are just plain stupid. You obviously didn't get the full reference behind that. So don't even mention the word stupid when you post on things you haven't done your homework on. And yes, I get the fact he was being sarcastic but people should get a clue when I'm sarcastic as well without getting their tampons in a twist.

I don't wanna argue about sarcasm or argue about anything, I'm really not good at it. I want to talk about sasquatch, so lets just do that.

And I agree with you about my theorized NW lineup being pretty shitty and devoid of variation, just trying to put some ideas out there. I think we can all agree, especially after last year, that Sasquatch is nothing if not unpredictable when it comes to headliners. For the record, my real guess for the headliners is something like Arcade Fire/Flaming Lips/Phoenix, but it changes all the time. It's really killing me how little we know. I do agree and we have been talking on this about the possibility of the headliners being as follows. Friday- Foo fighters Saturday- Arcade Fire sunday - Monday-Phoenix But I do not think Flips are going to be there. also i don't think Modest Mouse or DCFC are going to be there either. These are bands that have a Good relationship with Sasquatch and they can be booked almost any year. For the 10 th annivesary, it is going to be special. Also, when they first announced the Foo fighters, I thought to myself, that they are a big , well established band that could headline anywhere. So why would Sasquatch announce the biggest headliner in advance? I think there is going to be either bigger headliner than Foo fighters at the Festival. so if you think who realistically is bigger than than the foos and who is touring, we can come up with that big headliner. some possiblilities...... Pearl Jam- already discussed Soundgarden- not as big as the Foos, but have a Big Pacific Nw following. Radiohead- pipe dream , but one can hope. Neil Young- Muse- not a Fan, but they are huge. Gorillaz- would be a great get. beastie boys- I don't think so because the cancer thing. Depeche mode- not touring but would fit. RHCP - I don't see them at Sasquatch. Green Day- see RHCP Daft Punk- i think if they are playing anywhere it is at Coachella. I did not include bands like REM, the Cure , Bjork, NIN because the have already played here. any other ideas?

Beastie Boys can't play because of the cancer thing? Didn't you hear? MCA is cancer free!

Dammiiiiit The internet is not trustworthy. Most of these music sites do 0 fact checking, they just want to be first with the news and fact checking slows them down. Sad to hear though.

IMO I could see RHCP playing sasquatch. Way more likely than Green Day. Just don't see it happening this year... And I don't know if I'd want to after John Frusciante left. Also, Neil Young could be very possible. I don't think he'd really appeal to rhe younger crowd though, but his music fits. Lastly, I think Soundgarden would be way bigger news than Foos. Believe it or not, most of the Foo Fighters success is generated out of the United States (mainly Europe). They are a little underrated here.

Funnygrrl, I don't think most of those acts are realistic for this year. Muse headlined coachella and did a massive tour last year. Do you know if they are coming back to NA this year? I'd be surprised if they did. Gorillaz are most likely done touring for a long time. I think Albarn said the last show of their 2010 tour might be their last show ever. Beastie Boys, like you said, are unlikely due to MCA's health. I would think all the headliners would've been booked by now and they only just announced they were thinking about touring again. I don't think Depeche Mode would be doing any one off shows, RHCP said they weren't playing any NA festivals this year, and Green Day... please, just don't even make me entertain the thought. The closest Daft Punk will ever get to the Sasquatch lineup is in a cruel april fool's joke.
I really don't think Phoenix will be here (though I'd love it), and especially not as headliners. They've pretty much toured NA two times over the last year and a half.
I really think the other big (Sunday) headliner will be either Radiohead (because AZ said he's been trying to get them for like forever, and also because they'd be the best thing ever), Pearl Jam (20th anny, PNW band, etc.), or Soundgarden (again, the PNW thing, recently reunited). And I'm fairly certain Kanye West will be there as the Saturday Headliner, and Death Cab/Modest Mouse/both will close out on Monday.
So in conclusion.
Fri - Foo Fighters Sat - Kanye West Sun - Radiohead/Pearl Jam/Soundgarden Mon - Death Cab/Modest Mouse
I think this will be the best (ie. biggest) year ever for Headliners. At the very least a tie with 08.
I also think there's a very slim chance Sasquatch could be the fest that pays out for the White Stripes comeback show. If they aren't on the Coachella lineup, then I'd say the chances increase.

I'm really glad you guys are so optomistic about the headliners this year but I think you're way off base. Last year was the biggest year they've ever had and the headliners were significantly smaller than they had been in the past. I know it's the 10th anniversary and everything but I don't think that means that they are going to have incredibly expensive headliners. I've done the math for you guys before and Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Soundgarden, Green Day, etc are all in the 1 million dollar range which is my estimate for how much Sasquatch spends on all the artists for the day.
I'd be expecting headliners more in the Strokes, Arcade Fire, phoenix, Wilco, sigur ros, etc range.
although I'm rooting for kanye as a 10th anniversary throwback to my first sasquatch (05, still the best lineup)
