I'd lose my shit for the chems. I don't think it would happen though, cause they'd conflict with the late night act, who I'd assume would be another EDM act. Wouldn't make sense to have two going at once I'd think. Daft Punk would be the only exception to this rule, but it's not going to happen. If they plan on keeping the late night sets, an EDM headliner definitely wouldn't be a good plan. Way too much conflict. I actually think the Chemical Brothers would make for a perfect late night set. As seen during the deadmau5 2010 show, there's definitely enough room for a giant crowd at the Bigfoot stage for that slot.

Ryan Adams would be a pleasant surprise, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think Phoenix has to be considered for the Monday night headliner, They have played almost every major festival in the world. They are big enough to headline( they co- headlined at lolla last year). They have never played Sasquatch. I could see hot chip or black keys leading in to them and who knows they might bring along their fellow robotic country men. i agree with everything you said here except the hot chip part (who are not even close to that famous). Phoenix would be a great monday headliner and I can't see them playing at any other position in the festival (maaaaaaybe as the sunday night semi double headliner but I doubt that). Black keys would probably sub-headline if they played (and I think they will) so if we go with Foo Fighters on Friday, and a band like Phoenix on Monday. The third headliner would probably band that has just recently started to headline festivals ( ie. MMJ, KOL) I was thinking of the following bands: Arcade Fire( obviously) Elbow( the are huge in europe but not sure if they would headline here maybe subheadlining, and they are touring in the spring) Sigur Ros, that would be a good get for sasquatch with a strong following,( they are rumored to play at Chile-polloza) The strokes ( new Album and tour) any other suggestions of bands that are touring that would fit the bill?

Would it be too crazy to think of Incubus as a possible band? I think they'd fit in nicely... Supposedly there will be a new album by them this year.

Happy PJ20 Ten Club! 01.05.11 2011 will be a yearlong celebration of Pearl Jam’s twenty-year history. The anniversary festivities kick off in a few weeks with the release of Live on Ten Legs. A hint of what more to expect in the months ahead: - A spring reissue of Vs. and Vitalogy in new, deluxe formats; - The release of Cameron Crowe’s film, Pearl Jam Twenty, along with an accompanying book and soundtrack album; - A 20th anniversary destination weekend bash sometime in late summer; - Plus a number of special events and new, unexpected releases! pearljam.com/news/happy-pj20-ten-clubeh. It's possible I guess. Say what you will about their music, but they are probably the biggest PNW band ever. I know they said something about curating their own fest, but I don't think that makes them less likely for any other festival appearance.

www.nme.com/news/the-strokes/54436 <------CLICK HERE ITS A LINK Saying the strokes will be there is a huge assumption but record release lines up. It's honest speculation. Foo Fighters + The Strokes = ABOVE AVERAGE HEADLINERS.

I think they'll be hitting the festival circuit heavy. It's looking good.

I'm really excited for the strokes to be there but I hope we get more than the 60 minute sets they were playing at other festivals, that is not a headlining set.

they played 90 mins at lolla. I don't think their album dropping in march makes them any more likely than before, we all knew they were going to tour.

What about Cake as maybe a subheadliner? They have a new album out and are touring, and have a big enough catalogue to play one of the longer sets. They play Seattle in February though, so I guess that makes them unlikely.

The Streets will release his last album in February. He would make for an interesting evening Wookie set.

God I hope Cake is there.
The Streets... ugh. I never got annoyed with and then completely sick of an album as quickly as I did with 'A Grand Don't Come For Free'.
How the fuck do you lose a stack of bills INSIDE of a television.

That's cool, and I'd be down, but the "destination weekend bash" makes me think of them doing the DMB treatment -- that is, having their own series of shows at the Gorge at the end of the summer -- which would probably be problematic for a headlining slot at Sasquatch. But whatever, this is speculation about speculation.

I haven't been into PJ since I was like 13, but fuck it would be awesome to see them live.

But whatever, this is speculation about speculation. Apparently the only real known thing about this "destination bash" is that it'll happen somewhere in "middle" America, so given that that won't happen here, the band has gotta do something here to celebrate, so Sasquatch would actually made a lot of sense. Their Gorge shows are pretty well celebrated events, and the last time they came was 2006, sooo it would be about god damn time. ALSO, the band's last WA state shows were in the fall of 2009, after a three year break, twice at the Key Arena and once in Ridgefield (aka pretty much Portland). So what it all boils down to is that I expect to see the band in Washington sometime this year, and Sasquatch would make as much sense as a solo show. On top of that, they'd likely be a unique 2011 festival headliner (unlike, say, the extremely likely Arcade Fire and possibly Foo Fighters). And it's the festival's tenth anniversary and Ten's twentieth, sooo..... Sorry for going a little bit overboard with no actual, you know, EVIDENCE, the fanboy in me is pretty fucking hard to supress.
