I agree Coldplay probably costs too much. Probably bigger than Radiohead, and any fest would LOVE to have Coldplay to sell tickets to casual fans. Sasquatch doesn't need to sell tickets to casual fans. See Sasquatch 2010. kthx

It also cost $750,000 to get NIN to sub headline for Janes yeah and cut copy are going to headline Hahaha, I still think they could on Monday, but who cares! Janes and NIN both got $750,000 for both "headlining" on Saturday because they got equal time and were on their co-headlining tour. Plus it was NIN farewell tour of sorts. I found this out when I went to the last two NIN shows in LA.

I see. So for two yrs in a row we've had co-headliners (if Pavement and MA count) for one night - that'll likely change with the additional day, you have to think.

That would be WAY more reasonable

While thats what I thought was that they split the $750gs, I was quickly corrected into the idea that both got that much. They were able to do this by having KoL (who hadn't headlined anywhere at that point) and Ben Harper with his new band so both were cheaper headliners.

So THAT'S why we had to deal with KoL and Ben Harper

I don't buy that. Pretty Hate Machine only had a 5.6 back then. No way they cost that much.

I swear, so many people around here act like they know the finances of booking festivals so well that I'm kind of concerned that you're all LiveNation stooges working undercover to identify all of the underage drinkers, drug users, troublemakers and other miscreants before the festival this year so they can pick us off at the gates.
I should think that if that were the case, they'd have their work cut out for them.

Oh come on there are only a few of us who are sticklers about pricing
and I assure you I know nothing special except for how to do some googling and basic math

That little liar Oberst said Bright Eyes was all done. Welp, not so fast kiddies. They have a new album coming out and I'm sure his whiny voice will be echoing across the Gorge this May.

They were able to do this by having KoL (who hadn't headlined anywhere at that point) This is wrong. They headlined Glastonbury the previous year.

I can talk to Dan Coop of Does it Offend You, Yeah? and see if they're down to play at Sasquatch next year. I'll let you know what he says after I message him <3

Did you get your password re-upped for his blog? I got mine in September. I heard he is drastically cutting down on his blog's membership for next year.
