I did the exact same thing for the exact same reason. It wasn't that Virgin Mobile Fest was it? Well, actually, I didn't watch Blink 182 though, Franz Ferdinand was at the other stage, so I went to see that until I had to leave early so I could get some sleep in before I had to leave at 3AM for an 8 hour drive from Washington, DC to Charleston, SC

I saw Weezer on the Green tour and even then I was embarrassed about it. By last summer, no thinking person has any excuse for giving them their money.

Wow, is it really even necessary? Are there seriously like legitimate Weezer fans on this board?
My explanation: Don't encourage them. Anyone who was there when the Blue album hit knows exactly how violated they should feel.

I'm just confused as to wether it's the music or something they did.

It's definitely the music. Rivers can be a dumbass all he wants, rock stars are enitled to dumbassery.
I'm not even one of those people that is super religious about 'Pinkerton'; honestly I think it's pretty boring. 'El Scorcho' is a great song. Every single thing they've done since then is so incredibly bad... Just SO bad, guys. Bad.

I'd stop worrying about Weezer guys. Sasquatch usually avoids booking the same headliners as Bumbershoot and Weezer headlined there this year

I don't think we actually discussed Weezer being a possibility. I think we just got off on a tangent.
And yeah, I agree, after Pinkerton, everything is terrible. Though, give me as much shit as you want, I'm a pretty big fan of Pinkerton and Blue.

I'm not really a fan but Coldplay has a new album coming out next year which they said they will be doing world tour for. And they were confirmed for Rock am Ring.

I8 is gonna whine when I say this but Coldplay is far too big to play Sasquatch so they won't be there

Coldplay is probably bigger than radiohead... My estimate earlier had radiohead around 800k so I'd say coldplay is like 1-1.1 million to book. Keep in mind, the Foo Fighters who are playing an abbreviated day at Sasquatch (aka they had more money to spend on the headliner) cost around 300k to book
also they sold out the Gorge on their own last summer so I can't imagine they would headline a festival there

Did that cost 750g? Where did we get that info?
That's way higher than I thought.
I agree Coldplay probably costs too much. Probably bigger than Radiohead, and any fest would LOVE to have Coldplay to sell tickets to casual fans.
