Have the lines to enter the show always been so slow? It got quicker everyday, but was still way too slow. I missed Mumford and Sons on Saturday because I waited an hour and a half to get into the festival. I left my campground at 12:30 and didn't get into the show until 2:20. They didn't even search us or our bags thoroughly, so I have no idea why it took so long. This about the only negative thing I can say about the whole weekend, but it made me miss one of the bands I was looking forward to seeing.

the line saturday was the longest line i've seen to get into sasquatch (though i've only been last year and this year), Sunday and Monday were pretty on par though.

on saturday the premier camping line wasn't moving any quicker than the general line. at one point we stood in the exact same place for literally 20 minutes and watched several general campers cut into the premier line. the staff wasn't even checking for black wristbands.

Monday was the worst because the people checking bags decided to be ultra-assholes.

super-duper ultra mega-assholes of the ages, you mean
I got the bitchiest bag-searcher there was, though -- and while she managed not to find the cigarette pack that was completely filled with joints, she did find the one with a few roaches in it. she threw it away because it 'smelled like pot', and let me through the gate.
...and then I immediately reached into the garbage can and retrieved the cigarette pack with the roaches in it. she was so busy searching the bag of the person behind me she never even noticed. i win.

Good. I actually brought nothing in with me aside from a couple packs of smokes and some water, but they were still assholes to me. They didn't get anything my friends brought in though.

you just have to be doubly confrontational as they are to you. overwhelm them with your backpack flaps wide open and shoved in their face and they pretty much say "whow, ok i get it...you aren't trying to sneak anything in."
mind you, i snuck shit in every day.

That was by far the most lax I've seen them at checking. I had a bottle of water in my back pocket each day, and they never checked it. One day, they grabbed the side pockets of my cargo shorts, they other two days I was waived through without being checked.
Then again, I have a feeling I'm close to mastering the game of, "find the right checker."

Yeah, it's definitely ALL in the checker.

Yeah, it's definitely ALL in the checker. Oy, did anyone get that old guy who only had like 5 teeth? He was ridiculously thorough and annoying with his pleasure in slowing the line down due to his intense bag checking... --- You'd think a guy who can't even take care of his own mouth wouldn't have a strong affinity for attention to detail. Irony can be a funny thing.
