Ahh Molly, coupled with a hillside LCD Soundsystem dance party helped to bring on one of the best Sundays of my existence.

I thought it was cool to live in California, when I lived in California. I was dead wrong about that.

I thought it was cool to live in California, when I lived in California. I was dead wrong about that. This is either a joke about the word "cool" being meaningless, or you are shit-talking California, in which case I have two questions: 1.) Why? 2.) Where is a "cool" place to live, if not CA?

I was using Snorlax's word, but California blows.
1.) It's too hot - I don't know how people survive in 100+ degree weather for weeks at a time. It's too big, causing all kinds of trouble in elections on both the state level and the national level. Southern California would be a wasteland if it didn't have unfettered access to Northern California's resources. Hollywood is to liberals as Tea Partiers are to conservatives, central California may be the most fertile land in the world but it is ugly as hell and is a cultural black hole, San Francisco is dirty, mean and inhospitable, and the Northern end of the state only maintains its character because it is undeveloped and looks a lot like Oregon. Plus ferrets are illegal.
I lived in California for twenty years; my family STILL lives there, and even so the ONLY reason I ever go back is to see the Residents perform. It has its charms, although they are few and far between (Big Trees, Berkeley, um... someone help me out here...). Considering they will never divide it into the two states it should be, I'm just waiting impatiently for the San Andreas fault to split and sink half of it into the ocean.
2.) Oregon

There are probably 50 people who deal with 100+ degree weather for weeks at a time, and half of them are residue from the Manson Family.

If you're talking about air conditioning, please refer to the part of my argument which concerns inadequate resources.

Yeah Cali can get warm, and the addition of the humidity definitely doesn't help but go to the desserts of the Southwest and experience true heat... 100+ for weeks at a time? At least it's not months. Never should 110 be a comfortable afternoon, alas here in AZ that's the case... Although the skies really have no comparison.

I was impressed by your eternal damnation compassion, population 50 is pretty low. (PS - I know Hell is a fairy tale we tell kids so that they go to bed and get easter eggs or something.)

No, I was referring to "Where the fuck does it get 100+ for weeks at a time" Modesto. You know, where Beck's dog comes from. I am also not distinguishing between 95 degrees and 100 degrees.
