A band many do not know, or don't even know they are a real band at all.
Ween could scare the devil and break a human's mind, at the gorge they did exactly that. They also seemed to have left a wake of dead people on the hill!
I had lots of fun, but I love Ween - this was the best stage, lighting, venue I have seen them in and it was almost bringing tears to my eyes from how awesome it all was.
What did others think?

I love Ween, and agree about the magnitude of the stage - INCREDIBLE
I would love to hear from those who had no idea what to expect and liked it.

I had a lot of fun during their set, and didn't know a song. I kinda recognized one song (i think it was the first or second one), but their set was energetic and entertaining.

I probably danced more at this set than any other. It was definitely a highlight.
I'm not a huge Ween fan, but I listened to five of their albums a couple times each prior to the show, and ended up recognizing most of their songs.
I didn't know what to expect, since I avoided the online videos for the surprise factor. It's safe to say, my mind was blown. I felt liking hugging everyone in the pit after the show (and to clarify, I was only drunk).

Had no idea what to expect, but went into that set with an optimistic outlook, and was not at all let down. Damned if they weren't 5 of the best technical players there too. It was worth freezing my ass off in the cold sticking it out through the end of their set and almost falling asleep driving back to Seattle the next day.

I was totally into Ween. I also was not sure what to expect, and my experience of Ween when I was 12 is far different from my experience now. That being said they fucking rocked my world, and THE world, at Sasquatch. In looking at my past 5 Sasquatch experiences I must say that Ween ranks high on my list of the best shows I have seen. The final day of Sasquatch is always a really strange day, and Ween was a perfect bookend to a totally mind fuck of a weekend.
A general note, this year at Sasquatch produced some fine musical memories and more than one mind blowing musical experience.

We were down in the lower pit for MUTHAFUCKING WEEN
The setlist was pretty streamlined in terms of a Ween set -- not a single tune off the country album, and no extended jam along the lines of Poopship or Zoloft. The set consisted of basic Ween live staples... That said, these were the best versions of Voodoo Lady, Spinal Meningitis and The Mollusk I've probably ever heard them do.
Plus Touch My Tooter.... FUCKING AWESOME WEEN SHOW.

...and Gabrielle! Against all odds, Thursday before Squatch I said to my girl, I REALLY FUCKING HOPE THEY PLAY GABRIELLE. I smoked an entire joint in about 70 seconds when they launched into that shit.

you should've been like me, given up with trying to stay with people and enjoyed the sets... albeit alone... but great sets nonetheless.

i kinda wish i had stayed for ween, the other 4 people i was with weren't interested in seeing them and it's a bummer watching bands alone. same thing happened with my morning jacket I feel like I'm getting kicked in the groin each time I read someone saying they missed an act because their friends were not interested in watching them. You need to learn how to go to shows alone. Start out small, go to a small club show solo, see what it's like. There are positives and negatives to flying solo, and going with a group. Group Positives: - You have someone to talk to, so you don't look like a creepy rapist looking for the drunkest chick to latch onto. - You mostly get your spot saved when heading to the washroom, or getting another beer. Group Negatives: - You add to the needless chatter during the show, even if you're not trying to. - You are stuck having to stay in the same spot because your short friend has a great view, even when overly drunk affectionate dude is grinding on your shit. Individual Postivies: - No leaving early, unless you really want to. - If you are standing behind the tallest man on earth, or next to a bunch of chatterers, you can easily move. - You can go to the bathroom, get food, or get another drink without coordinating schedules. - Meet new people. Individual Negatives: - You lose your spot when you leave. - You look like a creepy rapist looking for the drunkest chick to latch onto. I prefer flying solo at shows, just because I can get several different viewpoints of the set unless I find a spot I really like, and I was surrounded by some really cool people at Ween, so I wasn't leaving. Then again, as newjersey can attest, I already look like a creepy rapist looking for the drunkest chick to latch onto, so that image conclusion means very little to me. Thank me later,
