He was one of the coolest things I saw at Coachella 2011, and it was around 10pm. I couldn't believe he was playing Sasquatch that early, sandwiched between actual comedians. He should have shut down the shack opposite the Roots. I still can't believe it. I thought with that billing maybe he had actually started doing standup or something. Throw in some lights to that show and maybe some screens so you could see what he was doing and it would have been great. Make it at night with that stuff and it would have been amazing. I still liked it though, just had trouble getting into it at 2pm. Beardyman was fucking amazing. One of the biggest surprises of the weekend for me. I loved it. Anyone else check out the girl with the fake boobs flash the crowd and then end up backstage like 2 minutes later? Oh to be a rock star....

The big downside is that now I have to recommend a band with the worst name imaginable. Couldn't stop laughing. Welcome to the life of a Drive-By Truckers fan!

Once again, top 5 can eat my shorts.
1. Feed Me (although it was more the circumstances than the performance itself) 2. Wolfgang Gartner. Hands down the best EDM set I've ever seen. Notice what he had to say about the festival below my list as well. Legendary... 3. Cloud Cult 4. James Murphy 5. Blind Pilot 6. Nobody Beats the Drum 7. Beirut 8. Girl Talk 9. SBTRKT 10. Silversun Pickups
Honorable mentions: John C. Reilly, Joy Formidable, Active Child, Little Dragon, The War on Drugs, Feist.

Dale Earnheardt jr jr was pretty good, but I was still half asleep during their set do I don't remember much. I was so asleep and hung over for the set also, but they rocked hard enough to give me energy and help me enjoy it.

I was front and center and raged harder than I have in my entire life. And Wolfgang was a shit show. I was upfront for both and still have bruises on my chest from the front gate.

I was in the back for both. I showed up right when NBtD started playing. I was shocked I got their early enough for them.

I was in for 4 shows straight so I got good spots easy to my surprise. After Purity Ring was over the whole room cleared and maybe 15 of us were waiting for NBtD.

That is so cool that Wolfgang enjoyed it as much as we did. I've never seen an EDM set like that. It was amazing to be a part of something that huge.

1. Bon Iver 2. St. Vincent 3. Explosions in the Sky 4. Jack White 5. Tenacious D
HM: The Joy Formidable, Feist
Anybody catch how high the singer/guitarist of Silversun Pickups was? I thought their set was really entertaining for that factor alone.

First post. My top TEN, because five is too few. 1. Jack White 2. We Are Augustines 3. ReignWolf 4. Tenacious D 5. Gary Clark Jr. 6. Joy Formidable 7. Cloud Cult 8. Beck 9. Feed Me 10. John Mulaney (COMEDIAN, yep.) If anyone has any interest in reading my reasons why I did a bit o blogging about it somekindofsanity.wordpress.com/HM: Blitzen Trapper, Civil Wars, John C Reilly, some guy in the campground who's name is I think Robox, and the one song I managed to catch of the Silversun Pickups, who would have made the list if I had seen their whole set.

10. John Mulaney (COMEDIAN, yep.) Definitely my second favorite comedian of the weekend (second to Todd Barry of course).

I'm still dead set on the fact that Dry The River kicked the most ass all weekend.

He was hilarious! So was Rob Delaney the day before. I definitely woulda seen him too had I not wanted to see Hospitality so badly. How long were we in the Banana Shack together on Monday and didn't know it? I remember finally seeing you at Nick Kroll, but you were obviously there for John Mulaney too. Were you also there for Chelsea Peretti?

Weird, I know I saw some of Hospitality and then almost all of Rob Delaney. I was there for all of John but didn't see Chelsea on Monday. That was pretty much the only time I left the main stage that day.
