Last time we saw Iron & Wine it was pretty much an acoustic set. It was pleasant enough, but Iron & Wine's set on Saturday was WAY better. In fact I thought they were pretty incredible; I'm not much of a fan, but after that shit I plan on looking into them a little more. That horn section was unbelievably awesome.

I'm seriously digging all the Black Mountain love. One of my favorite live bands. Funny story: they played a tiny bar in my shithole town the day I left for Sasquatch, $5 tickets. I missed there set due to my overall terrible planning/time allotment/etc. , wasn't too pleased about that.

1. !!!- definetely one of my cave bands, we were front row rail and totally got a hug from Nic-amazing.
2. Modest mouse- have been hit or miss the few times I've seen em, but wow were they great.
3. Chromeo- best dance party of the weekend, hands down.
4. Foster the people- only heard a few of their songs before this, but they blew me away- such a high energy show. Couldn't believe how huge the crowd was, luckily we had a spot close to the front. The rest are a mix of ratatat, matt and Kim and yeasayer, so much fun bouncing around in my fireworks glasses and tutus haha!
I definetely wish I had skipped the end of skrillex, told my neighbors I'd give him a chance but the music and crown was a bit overwhelming. At one point I overheard a friend asking " is skrillex a guy or a girl"- thought that was pretty funny

I actually enjoyed skrillex. I had about -1 expectations for his set after hearing about his show at coachella, yet I was impressed. Wasn't my favorite set of the weekend by any means, but I would be lying if I said I didn't have fun.

A lead singer with shoulder epilepsy. Really, it was impossible for them to live up to the hype so I can sympathize with them a little; but even so, they were in the bottom 10% of the shows this week. I was bored. Hopefully you got their early enough to see White Denim. Now that was a fucking tight set. Me and Mr. Tweedy agree on that.

Wye Oak - INCREDIBLE! The girl can sing & shred and the guy plays drums and keyboards AT THE SAME TIME! They sounded so good. Wish they had more of a crowd. The two buddies I dragged (reluctantly) to this were stunned how good they were. www.npr.org/2011/05/29/136581951/sasquatch-2011-wye-oak-live-in-concertYeasayer - rocked the truck out. Great show/vibe/crowd. Would have been a perfect ending to Sunday evening if not for... Ratatat - who blew me away. Jaw agape, dancing my ass off the whole time. Only could have been better with Molly. Deerhunter - so talented. Perfect to the festival. I caught a little of Major Lazer, but a show like Deerhunter put on was exactly how I wanted to feel at the close. Washed Out - did an impressive job with a very new band who are still getting to know each other, but sounded great. The new songs were stellar. Can't wait for the debut now. Hope to see a full show soon. Seemed like there was a decent crowd for an act of his size. Honorable Mention: Bright Eyes - it was great to see them in such a setting, especially since it will be the last. They sounded good, but I've seen much better from them (and very recently). So while it seems weird not to Top 5 my favorite band at my favorite festival, it just didn't define the weekend as much as those above. Gayngs - lot of talented musicians in this band. The sax was sick. However, this was the type of show that requires a female companion (for me anyway).

Wasn't my favorite set of the weekend by any means, but I would be lying if I said I didn't have fun. I have to agree. My friends all talked me into seeing Skrillex instead of The Decemberists, and it ended up being really awesome. While the visual aspects were nothing like Bassnectar, I actually liked the sound a lot more, we all danced our asses off. Other than that my top ones in no order were: Ratatat Black Mountain Beach House The Thermals Major Lazer and I gotta give a mention to Macklemore and Mad Rad for giving me my hip hop fix

and HOLY SHIT how did I forget Local Natives, that might have been the best set of the weekend. Didn't know they were capable of rocking Sun Hands that hard

I was at those picnic tables right in front of that soy joy tent and we bailed after 2 or 3 songs. Bummer.

The four of us were right in between the two picnic tables. If you remember seeing tall dude in a cowboy hat (of all the things to remember ), well, I was next to him.

1. Foo Dr. Garbanzohters - totally exceeded my expectations 2. Robyn - totally lived up to my expectations. FEMBOT!!! 3. !!! - insane show. loved every second of it. Nic is a pretty sick dancer 4. Flogging Molly - I'm not sure there was another band on the mainstage that engaged an audience nearly as well as they did. Fantastic Show. 5. Foster the People - I'm not sure what show some of you guys heard... but from where I was standing, it was a fantastic performance.

1) Foos - from what I remember. I was told that I was having the MOST FUN EVER at least! 2) Jenny & Johnny - finally finally finally got to see my love Jenny Lewis live from the front row and it was so very lovely. Too bad about her boyfriend being there! 3) Black Mountain - totally didn't forget the rock on the bus. Ho.Ly.Shit. 4) Head & the Heart - so funky and fun. I just had so much fun watching them. 5) Modest Mouse - killed it. Plus a bunch more. There was some seriously good music happening this year!

Great to see all the Modest Mouse love. I missed most of Iron and Wine's set, regretfully, as I was drinking gin out of a ziplock bag.
