Hello, I've read just about every thread possibly relating to my question, and haven't seen it anywhere. How big (approximately) are the general campground spots? We have one car (duh) and I was wondering if I have room to bring one of those shaded canopy thingys in addition to our tent. One of my friends is a 'Squatch vet, and she said when you pull into the campgrounds you should immediately "stake" out your area before the next car pulls up, and you can claim as much room as you want. True/false? Thanks in advance!

True, but, it depends on what time you get there. And with everything there, things are rarely consistent.
Even if you get there late on Friday night, you'll still be parked beside someone as close as you would be in a parking lot. Best thing to do is to park and right away toss things from your car before the next car pulls up. That being said, there is still quite a bit a room left between you and the car across from you.
If you get there really late, like 3 am late, it's much more lax, although you'll be in the last row or two.

Thanks! So do you think I'll have room for a canopy? if it ends up raining this weekend, I'd much rather be under that then inside a tent.

Yeah, you'll have room for a canopy. We're setting up a good size canopy, and a lot of other people do too.
The campground is huge and there's enough room for everyone, but they still pack you in pretty tight. So don't feel bad about taking up as much space as you need, but take it fast.

If you're really worried about room, set up camp further from the festival entrance. Everyone crowds the nearby spots to make their walk to and from the venue shorter, but you sacrifice proximity for space. If you arrive and it looks too packed just make your way toward the far end until things thin out to your liking.
