Is it possible to go and visit friends staying in the general campsite if I am staying at the premiere one, and vice versa?

You can visit your friends in general camping no problem.
Your friends can come visit you when the inevitable happens and people tear boards out of the fences keeping us out of premier camping.

Anyone ever come into contact with terrace camping? I wandered in there on friday morning last year and after conversing with the security guard for a few minutes he seemed to think that me seeing rich people's obscenely large RV's was equivalent to gazing at the Ark of the Covenant, and I was actually grabbed by two employees and escorted out, what a strange little place

How many groups of campers would you say were in the terrace area? Every description I've heard of it sounds so fucking elitist and god awful. I can't imagine anyone wanting to fork over the money to stay in there, but then again people stay in hotels too so what do I know.

It was so early when we were there that the bourgeois had not really assembled much, and the spots were rather terrible, but they get a free, live-nation quality donut in the morning, so I'm sure it is worth it

Those campground workers sure know how to direct you. I think I've had them answer every question I've ever asked them with, "i don't know. Ask that guy."

Its the best when they either pretend to not speak english, or they actually can't. And I'm never quite sure which it is...

I like asking the same question to 5 different SGs and getting 5 different answers. They never really have a policy sheet and briefing time.

Wow that was a pretty aggressive post I made. People need to stop refreshing old threads, it freaks me out to see that I never change.
