27 for me if everything works out in the end...but you never know until you're there.
After a 12.5 hour long drive on Friday I'm glad to see that my Saturday starts in the mid afternoon, unless anyone can suggest a must-see act before Mumford & Sons...otherwise:
Saturday: Mumford & Sons, Portugal The Man, Edward Sharpe, The Posies, 1/2 The National, 1/2 The Hold Steady, Vampire Weekend, MMJ and Deadmau5.
Sunday: Langhorne Slim, Local Natives, The Long Winters, TMBG, Cymbals Eat Guitars, The XX, LCD, Pavement, Public Enemy, Massive Attack.
Monday: The Heavy, Drive-By Truckers, Dr. Dog, Japandroids, Band of Horses, MGMT (sheer curiosity), The New Pornographers, Ween.

Saturday - Dawes, Brother Ali, Mumford & Sons, Portugal. The Man, Edward Sharpe, The Posies, running to catch the last half of BSS, The National, Vampire Weekend (possibly running to catch the last half of Nada Surf, then running back and trying to find a place to watch MMJ), Deadmau5
Sunday - Caribou, Local Natives, They Might Be Giants, Kid Cudi, Freelance Whales, The XX, LCD Soundsystem, Pavement, Massive Attack
Monday - The Heavy OR Shadow Shadow Shade, Phantogram, Drive By Truckers, Passion Pit, Japandroids, Mountain Goats/No Age, Band of Horses, New Pornos, Ween
Monday is a lot more difficult than I thought it was going to be. and I realize now that I probably won't see any comedy at all.

Sat: Mumford & Sons, Portugal. The Man, Edward Sharpe, Patton Oswalt BSS, National, Vampire Weekend, MMJ.
Sun: Caribou, Local Natives, Tallest Man on Earth, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Avi Buffalo, The XX, LCD Soundsystem, Pavement, Massive Attack. Maybe some Public Enemy.
Mon: Still undecided. Definitely seeing the Heavy. Is Past Lives even worth checking out? Haven't decided between Temper Trap/SRO/Phantogram/Todd Barry. Probably go with Bobcat over DBT. Then Dr Dog, at least partially. Then its the clusterfuck of some of my favourite bands all playing at once (She & Him vs. Mountain Goats vs. Japandroids/ No Age... FML) I'd really prefer to see whole sets and be fairly close to the stage so I won't be walking around catching bits of each set. I'll probably go with MGMT over New Pornographers since I'll probably see them in the summer. I'd really like to see/dance around to Boys Noize, but really, when am i ever going to get to see Ween again?
So, in conclusion, 22-25 bands, 2 or 3 comedians.

Some of these overlap, but that's because I'm still undecided or plan to catch half of each set.
Saturday: Dawes > Morning Teleportation > Fool's Gold > Mumford & Sons > Portugal. The Man > Edward Sharpe > Broken Social Scene > Miike Snow > The National > The Very Best > Vampire Weekend > My Morning Jacket > Deadmau5
Sunday: Caribou > Langhorne Slim > The Tallest Man on Earth > Cymbals Eat Guitars > Avi Buffalo > Freelance Whales > The XX > LCD Soundsystem > Yacht > Dirty Projectors > Massive Attack > Booka Shade
Monday: The Heavy > Mayer Hawthorne > Yes Giantess > The Temper Trap > Phantogram > Bobcat Goldthwait > Passion Pit > Japandroids > The Mountain Goats > Band of Horses > Camera Obscura > MGMT > Neon Indian > Boys Noize

I just highlighted 40 artists that I'm going to try and catch over the weekend. About 10 of them I will either have to split the sets in half or suck it up and miss some of them. I still have no clue what to do about my Band of Horses/Camera Obscura conflict. Those were two of the bands I was looking forward to most. That conflict is one of the ones I'm having the most trouble deciding on.

Realistically - Saturday: Nurses -> P. The Man -> Edward Sharpe -> BSS (Entire Set) -> Miike Snow -> The Hold Steady -> VM (even though I'm not happy about it but I want to be closer for MMJ) -> MMJ -> Deadmau5 In a perfect world I would love to also see Minus the bear, Why? and the Very Best Saturday may be the best musical day of my life. I'm so pumped! For those who have never listened to the nurses, here's a couple good sets from daytrotter: www.daytrotter.com/dt/nurses-concert/20031085-110981.htmlwww.daytrotter.com/dt/nurses-concert/20030183-110981.htmlI love daytrotter's write up on these guys. Realistically - Sunday: Caribou -> Local Natives (I'm seeing these guys w/ the suckers this friday... pretty pumped) -> Jets Overhead -> Cymbals Eats Guitars (One of the best shows I've seen this year) -> Freelance Whales -> LCD -> Dirty Projectors -> Pavement -> Massive Attack. Perfect world -> I've seen Avi Buffalo open for Japandroids and I was less than impressed but I really like their album and would like to give them another chance. Yacht, midlake and Fruit Bats. Realistically and perfect world - Monday: Shadow Shadow Shade -> Seattle Rock Orch -> Drive-by Truckers (saw them in a double bill w/ the hold steady a couple year back... one word.. AMAZING!!) -> Dr. Dog -> Japandriods -> Couple Songs of The Mountain Goats -> 1/2 set BoH -> Camera Obscura -> The New Pornos -> Neon Indian (Saw them live this year and I was very, very impressed!) -> Ween!!! Wow... that's a lot of music... great headliners.... Sasquatch did a great job of spreading our the lineup in their schedule. This just reaffirms my decision to drop some cash on this festival!!!

As opposed to last year when I had the "WATCH AS MANY BANDS AS POSSIBLE" approach, this year I'm trying to go with the whole "Watch full sets of bands, sit back, get good spots, and enjoy then" approach, also trying to kinda decide bands according to a bunch in a row at the same stage so I have a nice spot that I can just stay in. This kinda worked, but I still had to revert to my old regretting-missing-things ways:
Saturday (total: 11): Dawes - Morning Teleportation - Fool's Gold - Nurses - Portugal. The Man - Patton Oswalt - Broken Social Scene - The National - Vampire Weekend - My Morning Jacket - Deadmau5
Sunday (total: 12): Caribou - Langhorne Slim - Local Natives - The Tallest Man on Earth - Cymbals Eat Guitars - Mike Birbiglia - Tegan and Sara (don't really care for 'em, but goddamnit, I want a good spot for LCD and PAVEMENT) - LCD Soundsystem - PAVEMENT - (at this point I'm hoping Dirty Projectors will run late and still be playing after Pavement's done) - Public Enemy - Massive Attack - Booka Shade
Monday (total: 11): The Heavy - Hannibal Buress/Past Lives (can't decide yet, wanna see Past Lives but I like Hannibal and need a good spot for Todd Barry) - Todd Barry - Seattle Rock Orchestra - Quasi - Dr. Dog - Japandroids - No Age - Band of Horses - The New Pornographers - Ween
So I guess to answer your question, 34 is the plan, possible more.

EEEK, this is tough but, here goes... Saturday: Lots of mini-conflicts that I am somewhat perturbed by, and one major one (which most of you out there can figure out). Driving down from Vancouver that morning, so I likely wont get into the fairgrounds before 2pm. Mumford & Sons -> (bit of) Portugal. The Man -> The Middle East -> Patrick Watson -> BSS -> The Hold Steady (alone cause all my friends will be staying for the National) -> Nada Surf/Vampire Weekend (meh, either or) -> MMJ -> Deadmau5 I have a feeling MMJ will play on just as late as Deadmau5 will, so I will likely miss out on him again. Oh ya, I won't be seeing Nurses. It was not the least bit rewarding seeing them open for TMOE. Sunday Gotta be there early, can't miss Caribou. I also have a little bit of a blank in the middle, so I might have to check out Mike Birbiglia, depending upon how badly i need shade. Caribou -> maybe some Langhorne Slim -> Local Natives -> TMOE -> TMBG -> Avi Buffalo/Rumpus -> Tegan And Sara -> some dinner with Vetiver but leave early for -> LCD Soundsystem -> Pavement -> Massive attack -> Booka Shade Monday Won't be going home til Tuesday, so I am excited to see all of Ween, and not worrying about being sober. I really want to see Camera Obscura, however people on this board are scaring me away from them. I guess I wouldn't be devastated to see BoH instead. The Heavy if I am not still drinking by my tent -> Mayer Hawthorne ->Temper Trap -> drive-by Truckers -> Dr. Dog -> Japandroids -> Camera Obscura -> MGMT -> Ween I am gonna say 23 complete music sets and 3 or 4 of which I will catch a part of the set

My friends and I have decided that we will definitely be seeing the following:
Saturday- Dawes, Brother Ali, Minus the Bear, Portugal. The Man, The Middle East (partial set), Patton Oswald, Broken Social Scene, The National The Hold Steady (partial set), Nada Surf, My Morning Jacket, Deadmau5 (12)
Sunday- Caribou, The Tallest Man on Earth, They Might Be Giants, City and Colour, LCD Soundsystem, Pavement, Public Enemy (partial set), Massive Attack (8)
Monday- The Heavy, Hannibal Buress, Phantogram, Quasi, Dr. Dog, The Mountain Goats, Band of Horses, The New Pornographers, Ween (9)
That makes 29, but there are a few time slots where we don't have anything planned. After Caribou on Sunday, we have over 90 minutes of free time, meaning that we will either check out Midlake or Martina Topley Bird, depending on how we feel at the time. We also have a chunk of free time between City and Colour and LCD Soundsystem, but all of us hate The XX and Tegan and Sara. We'll probably end up seeing Freelance Whales and Vetiver during that time, making it roughly 32 bands total.

Assuming (like most) that I'll be at the stages on time each day:
Saturday- Laura Marling/Mumford & Sons/ Portugal. The Man/ The Middle East/ Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros/ Ok Go/ Broken Social Scene/ The National/ Nada Surf/ Z-Trip/ My Morning Jacket/ Deadmau5
I know I may get chastised for this, but everything after The National on Saturday, is icing on the cake, so it's a toss up as to how long I'll stay anywhere.
Sunday- Caribou/ Local Natives/ Jets Overhead/ The Tallest Man on Earth/ Kid Cudi/ Freelance Whales/ The XX/ LCD Soundsystem/ Pavement/ Massive Attack/ Booka Shade
Pavement is one of those "last chance" sort of bands, so I have to toss my hat that way, but besides I want the best spot possible for Massive Attack, and I will watch them as long as they are playing, so their set may go into Booka Shade's and I wouldn't be upset in the least.
Monday- The Heavy/ Mayer Hawthorne & the Country/ The Temper Trap/ Fresh Espresso/ Passion Pit/ Dr. Dog/ The Mountain Goats/ Band of Horses/ MGMT/ The New Pornographers/ Boyz Noize.
Monday has the most painful conflict for me, forcing me to split sets between, Passion Pit vs. Dr. Dog and MGMT vs. New Pornographers... Oh well, I can't complain too much... So I guess 34 is the number I'm working with.
